If people want to £5 for 5ml then its they're choice. What mis selling occured then ?
Most people look at the sel or maybe notice the carton size but more likely people check the sel. You going to contact sainsburys and innocent then about the underhand tactics used.
Reducing of cartons/packs etc is happening and it might not stop if firms want to cut costs then cutting pack/carton size will happen so not much you can do, if you feel like doing your own crusade then go ahead.0 -

But there's no mis-selling. They're selling 750ml as 750ml.
Am I the only one who thinks this smacks of Mapap?0 -

I actually agree with some of your points OP but you've not helped yourself with your posting style and some of the language and then bringing the famous 'You must work for the' line. That's normally followed by some Hitler referenceIf people want to £5 for 5ml then its they're choice. What mis selling occured then ?
I'm afraid everyone doesnt check the size of their normal products have changed everytime they buy people assume if the price is similar the size is going to be the normal one.
So it may not be obvious misselling but it is a little underhand.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I think the point the OP is trying to make (very badly) is the size has reduced and because they havent made it obvious people are picking cartons up assuming they are normal size by the price. Therfore it may not be mis selling but it is a little sneaky. Quite a few companies have done this over the past few year. Walkers too 15g off their crisps and kept the price the same. Copella knocked 50ml off their Apple juice while keeping the price the same.
So it may not be obvious misselling but it is a little underhand.
I do understand his point he was making but reducing of carton sizes isnt new is it. Its been going on for some time, ok so people may not look at the carton size but surely people notice the weight on the sel as they pick the product up.
Didnt know walkers knocked 15g off they're crisps, is that multipacks or the single bags0 -
My Sainsburys had the offer on for the 1L smoothies. Alas they had none and the shelves were stocked with the new size.
They were very nice about it though when I took them the shelf labels, apparently it was a printing error.
Hate the new size change - the small cartons are too small and the big ones too large to get my normal four days worth of drinks from them. The ones using cheaper ingredients (strawberry and banana for example) seem to have gone up in price too to match the more expensive berry ones. Unfortunately I need to have a smoothie per day to stay healthy, but I will be looking for other options than Innocent now.
If you are needing the fruit, then I would suggest that you either just eat the fruit, or you buy fruit and make your own, as these smoothies are not as 'innocent' as they make out to be (I know someone that works where they are made, and freshly pulped fruit poured into cartons is not exactly how it is)

This doesnt surprise me. This company like to bang on about how ethical and righton they are. Years ago they had a thing on their bottles - send us your ideas for new varieties and we will send you some and put your name on the bottle if we decide to use them. I sent them on via email and they used it uncredited and refused to reply to my timed and dated emails that proved I had sent my idea to them etc..What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

im quite aware i made an error but theres more important things in life for me to worry about,
it's not hard to look at the sel when you pick the item up. Before i put stuff in the trolley i check the sel to see how much it is per 100ml/100g it is and if theres a cheaper alternative and it doesn't take that long to check the sel. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
sorry am I missing an mse abbreviation here? whats a sel?
I'm guessing that it was a typo and should be a shelf0 -
thanks George. I was baffled as a number of posters used it and more than once in a post also. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
