This site is great, they would pick my car up for £160! Have saved the quote so if it doesn't sell on eBay will definately be using them.

I (unfortunately) had to scrap my car a couple of weeks ago. I used cartakeback and they were great - the car was picked up directly from the garage that had been trying to repair it, they sent me the certificate of destruction via email the same afternoon and the hard copy a few days later, and paid me by BACS transfer. Couldn't have been easier.

(although note that cartakeback is essentially a broker for scrap merchants rather than a scrap dealer themselves, so the level of service may depend on which scrapyard they refer you to)
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Hmm gets more interesting... someone has just sent me a message on eBay offering me £170 to pick it up today.

Not sure what to do! There are 3 watchers on eBay at the moment so I'm tempted to let the auction run.

    Let it run.
You always get that on ebay, someone will always offer a low price, hopeing you'll stop the auction early.
If they want it, they'll bid.
