We had it installed last August (broadband only) started with 2mb at £18, it was very slow so we phoned up and complained a little and they offered us 4mb for half price and said to phone back if we still weren't happy and they'd try us on 10mb. So we phoned back a little later and said that the previous person we spoke to said we can have 10mb for half price so they applied it for us. You do seem to have to phone back every 3 months or so when they try to charge you incorrectly, but I usually get an email about 2 weeks before they take the money telling me how much so if it is wrong I can phone up and get it amended before they take it.

They have recently upgraded our area to 20mb, but to be honest it seems slower than it did before at the moment, hopefully it'll improve.

Have you read this thread - a lot of people got good deals - but not sure its so easy now its virgin media

Your not far off really if you think phone line rental is £11

£30.95 - £11 = £19.95

£19.95 - £17.50 = £2.45 difference

We just have broadband as I can't justify spending £11 a month on a phoneline

We use VOIP for the occasional calls we make

How do you guys get notification that you have won something, is it usually by email/letter?

I have a phone number I haev been using when entering but it is just voicemail, so if they call will they leave a message?

Prizes sometimes just turn up unannounced. I have had emails, and also phone calls on mobile and landline ~ you never can tell.

Sorry maybe slightly OT but I do the same as previous posters, phone Virgin (previously NTL) about internet charges, I'm on 8MB for £10 a month by phoning up & asking about offers.
