Just voted for Prudent for post of the month. Its been great entering all the competitions only just started on the 2nd January 2007 not won anything yet but am hopeful the phone call, letter or email will come soon:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This challenge has given me something to focus on instead of gambling (which i have been trying to stop doing for ages) and it doesn't cost me a penny to enter the competitions.

So a big thanks to you for starting it :T

By co-incidence I read through a gambling thread on the dfw board last night and followed the links to GA. I was interested because my ex was a gambler (this was not the reason we split up). One of the things that struck was that if this addiction could be refocused to online comping, they would by the law of averages win well. I guess the thing to be aware of is that not all comping is free - text and phone comps can be costly at around £1.50 for some entries. You would need to stick solely to online comping if you want to ensure that it doesn't end up worsening your financial situations. There are loads of online comps though :D

Im definately only entering the comps that are free to enter online and the ones that i get in the Saturday magazine with the paper as its just a stamp thats needed (and i have some left in the house from xmas)

Im not interested in the ones where you have to text or phone cause i know i cant afford to do it.

Would be churlish of me not to join the Challenge, so will edit my signature now! Good luck to everyone!
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.

The challenge is optional, but its good to have you all the same :p . I started hoping one or two people might join. Now I feel a bit like Forest Gump when he ran.

    Hi!

Hello and welcome. They will happen if your persist. Although there is obviously luck involved in running there are also simple statistics. The more you enter, the higher your chances of winning. Many people get hooked once they get their first prize.
  • Sounds like much fun! And a great way to justify internet costs ;) Hmm, lets see... We have the £30 for 3 with NTL, plus a £6 for a faster internet... so I make that £16 in total for the internet. £192 a year =-o Fingers crossed =)

OH got all excited the other day when i was at work a small package came he opened it (the git) and it was a small male calender (they werent even that good looking) from galaxy FM but dont think i can count that as more than a £1....lol...but hopefully that was just a start of things to come.

I was thinking at one stage that maybe a list of all the people who are taking part in the challenge and maybe what percentage (or simliar) would be a good idea but there seems to be so many people taking part now!
