Hello
I'm new to this board but would like to join in too if its not too late?
I'm with Talk Talk so get my broadband free - but as so many people have had problems with them, it would make me feel good to think that I'm winning my whole package back - and thats £21 a month. So that gives me a target of £252 - feels like a tall order for a novice but here goes!
Good luck all!
Now to figure out that signature malarky...2007 Comp Challenge - Target: £250 - To date: Still not a bean! But I haven't given up yet...!0 -
Hooray - signature up! Chillis: 1, Technology: 0
Now off to enter some comps...2007 Comp Challenge - Target: £250 - To date: Still not a bean! But I haven't given up yet...!0 -
Welcome Chillis. You may well make that total. If you read the signatures of some of the regulars on the board, you will find they made it half way through January! Be patient, others haven't had a win yet but may get better wins by the end of the year. If you can play 'frustration' you can be a comper.0

Woo.... I want to join! Spurred on by being told I'd won a DAB radio the other day
A couple of questions, as I'm feeling a bit dense and there's a basquillion posts to read through...
1) The value of the winning item, is it the RRP given in the competition (i.e. "Worth £XX.XX", even though you can probably buy it twenty quid cheaper in the shops). Sometimes there's a difference in the Manufacturers retail price and the recommended one... just curious as my radio is supposedly £60 worth on the t&c of the site, but if it's the one I'm assuming from memory when i entered the comp, it's a RRP of £50.
2) From the first post... am I right in guessing that even though I entered the comp in mid December, if I'm told I win and get the price in Jan/Feb it counts?
Ta very much!:rotfl:0 -

Welcome. You will find quite a lot of Scottish compers on this board too. I hope we will make you feel at home here and you will become comfortable with posting. It is a very supportive group and we all try and encorage each other.0 -

Welcome cookie, great win. I think most of us are putting down the mse value of the prize. I do a google serach and check the best price on a prize. I tend to under estimate as I know I can get things more cheaply being a good mser. For example, I put down £150 for my trip to France. the ferry website comes up with £140 when I do a search on the trip I have booked. Howeverr I would wait for a deal and get it for less, so put in £150 including hotel and meal etc. This is probably a conservative estimate, but I like things to be cheap
