Companies that ruin Christmas

Name and shame those companies that lied about delivery and didn't send out your order in time.
Here's my list of companies that have let me down this Christmas:
Pots and Pans: http://www.pots-and-pans.co.uk/ Took my order on 15th December with the site promising Christmas delivery. Called them yesterday having not received it, and they said despite the item being listed on their site in the clearance section they didn't have it any stock at all. Received no email from them. Despite their site saying they will not charge until dispatch, they have charged me already, and have not processed any refund.
But three cheers for Amazon, who stepped into the breach and delivered my order placed at 5:45pm last night at 9am this morning (Saturday!).
Gamestation: https://www.gamestation.co.uk - didn't bother to deliver the DS Lite they said they had in stock.
A miserable Christmas to both these companies.

My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.

Royal mail who have decided that this village won't get a postal delivery at all today. Seeing how its normally here by 10 it isn't going to turn up now and no one here I know has had any post even though most of us are expecting some today.
Thanks a lot people.0 -
Woolworths for completely poor service, communication and resolution. Ordered 3 items on a 3 for 2 deal and conveniently cancelled my "free" item after promising to deliver it when questioned many times and refused to refund me when they admitted it was out of stock.
Agreed that Amazon are fantastic and put companies like Woolworths to shame.0 -
CD Wow, who took my order and payment at the very beginning of December.Have twice asked when it will be coming and they fobbed me off each time. Now they have said "after christmas" .This was to have been for a special christmas present,so why could they not have been more honest and certainly should not have taken payment till the goods were in stock.0

ELC for not delivering my parcel of presents for my son - a total of twelve items! Ordered on 8th December, dispached on 13th December and when i rang today was told will not get it in time for Christmas.
Thanks s lot for ruining my Christmas for me and my son.0 -
Royal Mail, sent an item by special delivery on the 18th Dec (guaranteed to arive by 1pm the following day - 19th Dec), 24th December and nobody knows where the parcel is!! I have been told "it's just one of those things", "it's the weather" (?!? !!!!!!??). When i asked why it hasn't been tracked at every stage of it's journey (like it's supposed to and that is why you pay more) I was told that they were "doing me a favour" by getting it to it's destination at this time of year without tracking it.0

Amazon for me, who despite showing the guitar hero controller I wanted as being in stock when I ordered back in OCTOBER still failed to deliver anything, or indeed let me know.
Kudos to the nice manager in Game, Hanley who got me one0 -

I suppose this depends on what the present could of been or the financial position of the poster? After all if your child was upset on xmas day for not getting what they really wanted then yes I would be devastated!Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
