sometimes bidding the lowest possible amount can make an honest negotiation especially to those agents who are clever enough in hiding the real price of the deal. And some agents would also add a little bounty price for there self. And if you went to the deal you will have an empty pocket.

I look forward to your spam.

Why do people find it so difficult to comprehend? The reason your place has been sitting on the market for a year is that it is over-priced. Simple. No ifs. No buts. Drop the price and it will sell.

This is exactly what I can't get my head around about sellers!!!

They are scum, morally, ethically, wrong (etc etc etc etc..) They do not subscribe to the good old British traditions of decency & fair play. We do not want their kind in our country.

Strong opinions, care to tell us why you think this way? I'm sure companies like this offer well below the market value for a house, but presumably that's the price you pay if you need a quick sale. What exactly do they do that is indecent?

It may be priced correctly but there may also be a lack of buyers in that area.
You can sell anything at a price but I would certainly not enter into a Dutch auction with my home. Nor would I expect anyothers to do so.

    Prob over price though

This just doesn't make sense. If there aren't any buyers at that price then it can't possibly be priced correctly.

Any house will sell into any market providing the price is right.

When i was trying to sell my last house one of these cowboys turned up and made an offer i thought was a joke. I'd been trying to sell without an agent and got a phone call from a woman who said her son was keen to move to my area so i was expecting an ordinary prospective buyer.
I think if you're desperate to sell you may do better in an auction, at least you could put a bottom price on it.

I will also guarantee to buy any property in the UK. Literally anything, I don't care.

You won't like the price but we'll get to that later........

offer your estate agent a 5k bung if he sells it before xxx date at xxx price...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I've just seen an advert for this on-line auction in our local freepaper,
maybe worth checking out to see what they charge.
