O S Daily Tuesday 5th July

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday, 5th July. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning Silvermaid and all who follow,

Yet another beautiful day here today, WM is on and I am just about to make packed lunches for the family.

Today will hopefully be a bit quieter after spending yesterday rushing around everywhere.

Spent 2 hours yesterday morning with some pupils who will be joining us next year and hopefully allayed a few fears and worries.
DD2 went u to meet her new tutor for next year last night and will be spending a day at the school on wednesday, her only complaint is that they kept talking about her brother and sister and not her!

Tea tonight will be something with sausages.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Good morning peeps,
    Just lost 2 long posts:(

Thoughts and prayers for those with problems and/or relatives and friends with problems x

Lovely here at the moment. Rain forecast for later - wish we could share some with the Horn of Africa, pictures from there are heartbreaking.

Will make meatballs as soon as I get home from work so they can chill in the freezer for half an hour to firm up before cooking. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce.

Right, need to shower and get ready for work.
Happy Tuesday and hugs to those who need or want,
    Cheers m'dears, Silver x

    Morning my lovelies :)

Feel bit sad today, just found out that one of the lovely ladies at tap passed away last week and her funeral is today so I think I will go along and pay my respects.

Other than that it will be a case of working through my long list of jobs to do.

Tea tonight I think will be sausage and cous cous with mixed veg thrown in perhaps.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.

    Morning everyone

In bed with the lappie but will have a shower in a minute as it's work today.

Another warm night here but it's due to rain from 11am. I only work around the corner but may still get wet coming home later.

Yesterday OH realised little car out of MOT since June 21. Cue panic and ringing up local mechanic who will sort it tomorrow.

    Mmmm don't know what's for tea......freezer surprise I think.

    Have a good day all.

Hugs and kind thoughts to all who need them.

    Morning everyone

Sunny, bright and warm here again this morning. DH up and off to work early but not stupid early o'clock, so he brought me a cuppa before he left. Washing out on the line.

Dinner last night was fish with chips/jacket sweet pots, baked beans/salad, then ice cream for dessert. Work was reasonably busy yesterday, hoping it will be a bit easier today. DS2 has his school play tonight, hopefully it won't last too long as the school hall gets ridiculously hot and uncomfortable. DS1 has cookery tomorrow at school they are making apple crumble, so dessert for tomorrow night is sorted.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
