Help with shrinking VOB files!

Hi,
Have a couple of avi files I am trying to put onto a DVD that plays in standard DVD players.
The files are currently avi and I am using DVD Flick to convert to VOB
I have been having a few problems whereby, once converted, even though I click on the autofit, and there is a yellow bar which tells me the DVD will be 98% full at the end, once I try & play back the DVD, it misses off the last 10 minutes of the movie?
The original avi file is 1.36gb, am unsure how large the finished VOB files are.
I am using 4.7 gb DVD-R disc (single layer)
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Cheers

Much easier to use an all in one program to go from avi to dvd burned to disc. I recommend convertx.0

DVD Flick is that one program. You just have to tick the option to burn the DVD and it will handle the whole process.0 -
This is the program I am using, but it doesn't seem to be able to fit one whole movie onto the disc, despite choosing the option to autofit?stilltheone wrote: »DVD Flick is that one program. You just have to tick the option to burn the DVD and it will handle the whole process."Hope for the Best

What size media have you selected under 'Target Size' and did you tick 'Burn project to Disc' under Project Settings > Burning before embarking on the project?0 -

If there are two files, are you converting them as one per disc or trying to fit two on the same disc?0 -
DVD 4.3 gb & yes, burn to disc is selected (although the actual dvd size is 4.7gb)?stilltheone wrote: »What size media have you selected under 'Target Size' and did you tick 'Burn project to Disc' under Project Settings > Burning before embarking on the project?"Hope for the Best

I'm simply importing the avi file and DVD Flick does the rest - right up to burning the DVDstilltheone wrote: »If there are two files, are you converting them as one per disc or trying to fit two on the same disc?"Hope for the Best

How long is the feature?0

The Avi file 1.36gb - DVD flick converts & then burns onto disc & then the 'project' disappears from the program! I have searched my PC for the finished file to see how big the file is, but can't locate it - I've thrown that many discs away this weekend trying to fit the movie on them!stilltheone wrote: »How long is the feature?
The strange thing is, I'ce successfully converted & burned other files, larger than 1.36 avi onto the same discs using the same program without problems??
(timewise, the movie is 1hr 47 mins)"Hope for the Best
