Not bad - I will add that to my list of things to do on Monday

Today was a lazy day - a bit of time researching solar panels, a busy hour in the garden then a pub lunch just with OH and 2 pints followed by a nap - great day off!!

I looked into that one-£90 for the panels is pretty good if it reduces bills by a third. I am not sure about the length of our roof, but if i can do it i will- very ecological and moneysaving:money:, although i am not sure about the level of sun in the Northwest:eek::rotfl:

for a reasonable (detached) size implementation - it looks like £12-£15K returning savings/generation fees of just under £1k per year

so pay back in 12 -15 years assuming nothing goes wrong.

I haven't got that much savings but as a home improvement I would consider extendig the mortgage - I just can't work out if that's MSE +ve or MSE -ve

  • It's a difficult one- but i wouldn't extend the mortgage for it as that would mean you are paying interest over a longer period of time, as it will be on top of your current mortgage if that makes sense. Did you look at the E.ON deal?

  • Just saw a pretty inspirational quote i thought i would share about habit forming.

    I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest asset or heaviest burden.
I will push you up to success or down to disappointment.
    I am at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me,
For I can do them quickly, correctly, and profitably.
I am easily managed; just be firm with me.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a
machine and the intelligence of a person.
You can run me for profit, or you can run me for ruin.
Show me how you want it done. Educate me. Train me.
    Lead me. Reward me.
And I will then...do it automatically.
    I am your servant.
    Who am I?
    I am a habit.

Just the right kind of attitude i think. It is to do with leadership, but i reckon it can be applied anywhere and in any situation. That is what we are all here for - good habit forming.

Now get those lists and form those habits...after a brew of course:D

Have a good day folks it is lovely out there again today. Bob x
