Using wallpaper to wrap parcels?

I would suggest using black sacks for postage, snip the bottom off the bag and use it 'gift wrap' style, 2 layers should keep anything dry/safe. The seriously cheap black bags that are useless for holding waste are perfect for wrapping and cheap too.

Your wallpaper would be much appreciated by a pre-school for the toddlers to draw/paint on so shouldn't go to waste.

    Hope this helps.;)

    Just a tad sarcastic Terra.

A valid point but could have been addressed more tactfully.

Fortunately most wallpapers are colourfast these days. If its vinyl it should be colourfast, waterproof and strong. Dont know how easy it is to fold though.

Oh dear, the forum police don't approve of my post :D

    Black sacks?
I wouldn't be very impressed to have something delivered in a bin bag.
They often have a awful smell which can transfer to clothing.
Buy some purpose made mailer bags off ebay, they cost next to nothing.

Thanks. Mailer bags sound good. O
nly thing is that some posters have mentioned certain mailing bags can make clothes smell of ciggie smoke  has anyone else found this?

I but and also sometimes sell clothes (sometimes the same items go through the full ebay cycle....), and use mailing bags. I would never put clothes straight in a plastic bag, being mailing bag or a black bag, although they don't really smell (maybe the old grey ones used to smell, I don't know).

I've had a few bin bags, tbh they are better than paper, as it gets torn and doesn't protect clothes too well, but does it look cheap and nasty....

At least you came here and asked people's opinions, some buyers just do the silliest things without even thinking about it... :)

I have had quite a lot of stuff sent in black bags, including bubble wrap, office equipment (not fragile stuff), and clothes.. I always mention that on the fb, although if the price is really good and postage cheap I don't penalise the seller, as they have saved me a few pennies (although I would have rather paid for proper packaging...).

Thanks TerraFirma, it's great that there's so many people on here who can share their advice :)

Worst packaging I have ever seen was when an X-Box controller arrived for my bro, wrapped in a tatty carrier bag, complete with a stale cheese puff!
