not sure if i'm posting this in the right place, but i couldn't be sure where else to post it.

i managed to save us £36 a month yesterday and reclaim £250..

we currently have our gas and electric with southern electic.

when we moved into the house 3 years ago we owed them some money from our previous property where our direct debit hadn't been enough, so one of them was put up to £43 a month... then earlier in the year, a statement came for the other one saying we owed them £100 again... the direct debit not being enough and they put it up to £58 a month....

so our quarterly bill came (on line as we have it paperless) and it showed that we were £107 in credit in one account and £159 in credit in the other... i also looked at the units it said we used and calculated that we were paying way way too much...

so after a phone call to a helpful operator yesterday our direct debits are down to £30 and £35 a month... thus saving us £36 a month and we're going to be recieving a refund in the next week or so...

i'd advise anyone who hasn't checked their bills for a while to go over what you are using and make sure your paying the right ammount..;)
