The reason they put pretty pictures on these letters is to do exactly what they have done, scare you! These images have been shown to be flawed so many times on this forum.
Sadly Sparking Pie make enough money from the unknowing, to worry themselves in pursuing people any further then their threatening letters!0 -
Thanks for the comments! They are spurring me on!
I have now got the 3rd letter, Final Notice from the (in)famous John Mitchell. I really should be shredding these. No, wait, i wouldn't spend my electricity using the shredder on it. Burn them.
This is a curious question that i hope you all could help me with.
I have written a letter to the supermarket chain involved stating the discrimination act, not allowing enough time... etc. Should i send a letter to Parking Eye also stating this too?
thanks :T
EDIT: since the letters have been sent out, our car has changed as well as registration, will the ticket go somewhere else or will it be forgotten or sent here again?0 -
Don't write to Parking eye it will just encourage them.
Any request for keepers information will have the date the reasonable cause occurred.
Don't worry if its in the hands of their mythical legal department and their legal legend John Mitchell hopefully its getting near the end.0 -
I would love to see a case against a supermarket going all the way. Not only would compensation need to be paid but the negative publicity would be tremendous. I hope that Coupon Mad's idea is taken up.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

So.
I have sent away letters to both supermarkets stating disibility discrimination and to reply within 5 days or it will be taken to court of human rights.
I had some help with my cousin-in-law as he is a lawyer familiar with this type of law. So hopefully i will get it sorted!:T
The CP plus one i said before, the handwritten one, they have finally sent something to me, on headed letter "Parking Collection Services".
Have also had final reminders.
I know Supermarkets employ these people and therefore they are the ones bering contacted, but should I respond to these people and send the letter that I mentioned above to ParkingEye, CP Plus and Parking Collection Services?
Would appreciate advice. Thanks.0 -

They do not have proof!
Photo "evidence" is quite meaningless in this context. Keep ignoring.
And as it is Parking Eye, have another read back over your letters to see just which courts they are threatening you with - All the PE bumwipe I've seen has referred to English courts, not Scottish. So that makes the whole effort doubly meaningless!0 -

First of all, Supermarkets do not 'employ' them. A bit like a protection racketeer, private parking scumbag companies pitch their 'parking solution' to Supermarket H/Offices and when they get the go-ahead from the easily-taken-in Management they then provide their 'service' for free. There is a contract between the two - which is why you can and should sue both the PPC and the Supermarket under the Equality Act - but not an 'employment' situation.
I expect your cousin-in-law will tell you that - if you are considering taking them to Court for compensation (go for it!!) - all parties need to be made aware that the driver was disabled, in order to be given the chance to right the wrong. Otherwise they would have a defence that they didn't know about the disability.
Forget PCS, they are just a debt collector and not a party to sue as such IMHO. But I would copy the letter in to the two PPCs, personally, because if I were working on this on behalf of your relative and had a friendly lawyer I would be looking to sue (it's high time someone did).PRIVATE 'PCN'? Update:
CP Plus - Have put the Parking Ticket onto another debt recovery firm (from Parking Colections Service to Debt Recovery Plus), have heard nothing from them regarding the letter I sent.
ParkingEye - sent a letter to them, got one back stating that if she doesn't have shopping receipts, or any form of evidence to show that the family member was there, then they want money.
(The thing is, who keeps a receipt if they don't know their going to get a ticket? The parking ticket was sent in the post, it wasn't delivered on the windscreen. If we would have known we were going to get a ticket, we would've kept the reciepts!!! Crafty gits.)
Morrisons - both Morrisons I wrote to but only got one letter back today saying they would like a copy of the family members blue badge and a copy of the parking ticket and they'll "see that the matter will receive prompt careful attention." (I think I may send in both parking tickets since essentially it is the same company I got parking tickets from in their car park.)
Would like anyones advice on how to proceed further with the other companies other than Morrisons. (The stuff will all be photocopied ASAP).0 -
Why did you write to any of the scammers, did you write to the retailers as well? Was it clearly written as a complaint about disability discrimination - as they seem to have taken your letter as a 'appeal' which was not the intention at all (pointless)?
JUST IGNORE THEM FROM NOW ON, STOP TAKING THEM SERIOUSLY! THESE ARE NOT EVEN 'PARKING TICKETS' BUT YOU ARE STILL CALLING THEM THAT!
OR SUE THEM...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The fact that you are communicating with these crooks shows that they have the upper whip hand on you.
They do not give a stuff how disabled anyone is, in fact they probably think it makes you a softer target now they have this information and as a result they will twist the screw on you even more.
Please do take the good advice given on board, IGNORE THEM, nothing else works, stop writing letters, it just encourages them they have a live victim and now you will get twice as many threats.
also the supermarkets dont give a stuff, they get a share of the scam money.
So please take on board, give up, just ignore them and you will shorten the duration of the harassment.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
