I've just watched Mondays Dinner Date. My friends KH was on it! Very good it was too.
I've just been scrubbing the kitchen step, cos I finally managed to buy a scrubbing brush. They are like hens teeth.....
I've also cleared out the airing cupboard cos I couldn't find a thing. All carp has been put away in our bedroom. nothing on the floor or on the surfaces that isn't supposed to be there.
Just conned DH into placing an order with M&S so just need to have a quick look at their website to see if there is owt else I [STRIKE]need[/STRIKE] want :rotfl:

Valli - thanks for the suggestion re cherry jam. I have stoned and cooked 3.5lb tonight so they can drip overnight. I haven't had a chance to go and pick the blackcurrants from the community gardens this year so none for us this time. I must plant some of my own. The boys ate most of the raspberries and strawberries so just a few stragglers frozen for fruit coulis to go with meringues at some point.

  • Evening!

Woke up at some ridiculously late hour with the splat patting my face with his claws to check I was still alive. Obviously, not out of concern for me, but because he would have to go and find some old lady to feed them if that were the case.

Had a headache ever since, which just won't go.

Braved Minion's dungeon of doom and found that whilst she hadn't put her washing in the basket because KH turned up ten minutes after she got in from school (with a report consisting of all As and Bs :)), there wasn't actually as much as first horrified glances had suggested.

Have ordered next term's school shirts, although I may have to return 1 set as they are the same size as this year's, and another jumper for her to lose/get stolen in the first fortnight. I would try and stretch the shirts out for another year, but they are stained beyond all reasonable attempts at cleaning and I don't think anything short of napalm will get the permanent ink, dirt, tomato sauce, fizzy drinks and other nasties she has got ingrained in them. Thank goodness for the M&S sale and UNIFORMS free postage code!

Just had a La Redoute parcel delivered - my free gift is a mock croc bag. It's alright, but perhaps they should have waited to deliver the stuff I actually ordered (3 sizes smaller now)?

Oh well, it will go with the free lipgloss I got with a magazine today.

Sitting here munching on a huge bowl of Camargue red rice wondering whether I should give up on today and my head and go back to bed.

I think I might, my head feels like it's being battered by a cricket bat on fire.

Evening! Had a busy week writing reports but they're all done now and handed in :D Had a bit of a lazy day today watching GP qualifying and some bits on catch up but also managed WM x 2 - all dried nicely out on the line - a clean up of the kitchen worksurfaces, and a 60 in 60.

Am sending hugs and prayers to juliejim, Pooh, and Rachel xx

And some virtual sweeties to pigpen xx

Valli - hope this week went ok; have you had any feedback?

aj - congratualtions; hope you both had a lovely day x

Happy Birthday to all those I've missed this week

Well, i'm still up! :( I went to bed and after laying there for a bit i woke up with a sudden wave of strong nausia. Urgh! So after some tossing and turning here i am sat waiting to see if it develops into something ikky or if it just goes away.

Did make progress on a couple of things off my list today, especially the photos. Tomorrow will be a cop out cause we have family round for dinner.

RachelS, i am so sorry to hear about your husband leaving. I have no wise words, but send (((hugs)))

    Morning All

I couldn't sleep so I've got up and put washing on the line and the WM on again. I've got the Beavers' District football match this afternoon so I'll be out from lunchtime and then probably be ready for bed seeing as I was up so early. Unless I go back to bed in a bit!

Hope today's a better day poohbear

    Thinking of you Rachel

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
