Hello, I have done very little today except try and sort DD's hair.....Nits, AGAIN!!!

Had enough and cut it....badly!!!! It was down her back...not anymore!!! I cut it and then cried!! Hairdresser is going to do it tidy tomorrow. I am hoping she can thin it out too as the comb keeps getting tangled in it.

WM and tumble dryer are on and I have put the hoover round.

I have had lunch and am still feeling very guilty about the amount I cut off her hair and how badly I done it.....sorry just feeling bad for myself.

Hope evryone is well and hugs for those in need xx

    Hi guys

Busy here today, been to work this morning, some structural guy from the council was supposed to be coming this avo to drill core holes in my kitchen floor (damp issue) but got the wrong day so coming Monday avo now lol Surveryor was here waiting for him too but he went through what I would be getting done to the house so not all was wasted. Not as much as I was told previously but it'll be great anyway. September is when the scheduled works is going to start but it doesn't mean my street will be first so could be *pick any month after that up until April 2012* lol

Did a mad tidy cos I wasn't expecting him (he went to move his car) he had to see every room in the house, told him to go in the kids rooms at his peril :rotfl: brave guy did and he lived to tell the tale.

Done some washing, dailies and kitchen DW/ S&S, waiting for food shop between 4 & 6, littleys going to see JLS tonight with her nana so OH dropping her off while I wait. I've got a bit of a headache brewing and I could kill a snooze but no time now.

    Yoo-hoo Polly :hello:

Not caught up fully yet gonna do that now, hope everyone's ok xx
  • Tooch, don't worry, she's got plenty of time to grow her hair when she's not infested :D hairdresser tomorrow, problem solved.

Details of autism group passed to KH's cousin.. saw her in tesco and her daughter is being assessed at the moment and she needs some support :D

Sis has collected pinks from school
DS2 actualy did get a shower and dressed and vacuumed his room and DD2's room... I almost fell on the floor in shock!!!!!!!!!!

Windows.. right .. We are getting them all done ASAP (will be about 5/6 weeks) and whatever I haven't managed to save is going on OH's credit card and will be paid of probably faster than I can afford. At least it will then be done before the baby arrives, before winter jumps out on us and before I have chance to think about it and change my mind. Then next year I can have the last 2 bedroom windows done and the loo and bathroom.. and we will be fully DG'd :D... and I'll have the back room underfloor heating installed next year too when I have saved some more beans.

Washing reshuffled again.. how have I ended up with 4 huge overflowing baskets in the kitchen AGAIN!?!?!?

Tooch.. will the hairdresser do it if she has bugs? often they refuse if they see even old empty eggs (nits) rather than just if they have hoppety-loppeties. I spend 5 or 6 hours a week combing my girls so you have my every sympathy.. prioderm for stubborn infestations.. highly toxic.. stinks to high heaven but does the job super quick!

Tooch stop beating yourself up; DD's hair will grow again, hopefully without live-in guests. Once the hairdresser has had a go at it tomorrow, it'll be fine, you'll see. (((HUG)))

I've cooked veggie sausages and hard-boiled some eggs, and cooked spuds to do potato salad. Luckily I have a perching chair in the kitchen, so was able to use that to save my poor knee any extra stress.

Lamewolf: I'll keep you in mind when the council get rid of a horse chestnut tree on our estate:D
But seriously, folks, I'll keep topping up the stick basket over the week.

FritteredAway: Washer dryers? Pain in the situpon, they really are. Unless these gadgets have improved in the last 12 years, I would recommend just using it as a washer as the clothes are far too wet after washing to go straight on to a drying cycle. And, if you do set it to wash and dry, expect a lot of really tiny clothes to emerge at the end of the cycle!

  • short_bird - it seems they have. I just took my sleeping bag out early and it's dry (and boiling hot - remind me not to touch the metal zipper straight out of the TD again, ouch!) but it's still the same size. ;)

I still wouldn't use the drier unless I was doing entirely TD-able stuff though. I still prefer separate ones!

Thanks everyone xx I know her hai will grow back but she had beautiful lng blond hair down her back.....everyone commented on how lovely it was. I am trying to put a positive spin on things by thinking she will be 9 at the end of the year and could do with an older hairstyle?!?!?!?

Pigpen I spoke to the hairdresser and explained and she is going to do her last thing so she can clean all the equipment after, Thanks xx
