Dog walk, DD2 collected, washing on line, WM on again, tea supped (with biccies :o). And I am not at Ikea :( I could quite easily have a snooze now :p

Boys were difficult yesterday, so I am not looking forward to tonight. I have hellboy for 9 1/2 hours tomorrow :( Why do they have so much teacher training this late in the year? Surely it would be more productive at the start of the school year when people are more motivated?!

So...what's it to be? Sleep or lists??? :p

right well my 9.45 HHC&HHI turned into 3 HHC's back to back and no ironing - oh well!
    In my HHC I:
    - put away yesterday's hand washed dished
    - emptied DW
    - tidied post-breakfast kitchen mess
    - decluttering in the kitchen
    - folded and put away massive load of laundry
    - hung out yesterday's whites wash on the airer
    - decluttered some junk off spare room bed
    - cleaned mirror in our bedroom
    - dusted our bedroom
    - tidied 3xchildren's rooms ready to hoover later
    - cleared out DD2's cardboard castle (why did I ever make the damn thing, its just another place for them to dump stuff:mad:)
    - stripped DS' bed as he's wet it AGAIN despite wearing pullup
    - remade DS's bed
    - put a wash on
    - vague tidy in bathroom

Doesnt look like much for an hour and a half :(
I only stopped because DD2 was harrassing me for food.

Signs up around here for the Grand Prix, going to be a fun 4 days, as lots of the local roads are closed, and rest have been converted in to a giant one way system, which comes into full force on Saturday, so should be interesting and the trafic build up around here is bad, as I am on the route for avoiding the Grand Prix main area.

I hope you get good weather this weekend, I've heard how hellish it can be when it rains. So, Kaz, supplies are in and you're staying home for the weekend? :D

If anybody wants me over the next few days, I'll be sorting out for a vintage fair on Saturday 16th. I've only known about it for 6 weeks...:rotfl:

Also just wanted to offload a bit that I'm feeling a bit bleurgh today, went out for meal last night with antenatal friends from first time round, so we all have children who have just tuned 8. Its so hard cos DS is doing ok but is behind emotionally sop isnt ready to do a lot of the things their children are doing. One is doing football camp over the summer, one is doing 2 weeks tennis camp, one is off on Cub camp for a weekend, one is going on a mountain biking course and is now being dropped off to 2 hours kickboxing a week while Mum goes and does something else. DS won't try anything, we finally got him to do after school cricket for the first time and its been rained off for 2 sessions of the 4 so far! He cries like a baby at everything, has massive strops all over the place several times a day, still wears pullups/wets the bed, wont settle to sleep at night. Mostly I take it in my stride but I find evenings like that really hard :(

WOOOOHOOOOO! Got me some fencing tickets via EU sales to go with my dressage I got via the official route. ;) Exciting!
Ooh, that takes me back.... fencing was the only sport I was any good at when I was at school! Mind you, I had a bit of an advantage, in that I was the only pupil who fenced left-handed.:rotfl:
I suspect that half the population has some form of invisible glasses that mean they can ignore what needs doing....
Not to mention RSD - Random Selective Deafness! I think it must be genetic - automatically comes with the Y chromosome.:D

I'm so very lucky with Mr LW; he never minds helping, and if it's a task for "later" that he might forget, he's happy to put a reminder into his mobile phone.:o He's got to pop into Morries in his lunch break today, as we need a carton of milk and some Quorn slices.:A

Oh, and Good Luck to your DS - hope his interview goes well.

Helping myself to an armful of sticks, as I seem to have an entire litter of BDs here.:(

I'm afraid it looks like I'm grounded for the rest of this week; my knee is agony and I need both sticks just to get around the bungalow - usually I can manage with one plus grabbing nearby furniture/doorposts as necessary. I have no idea what's wrong; it's not the one I smashed up in the car crash (in 1990), which usually gives me the most trouble.:( Oh well, I expect it'll sort itself out if I stay off my feet as much as possible.:o

I need to cook some sausages and hard-boiled eggs to put with a bit of salad for dins - Mr LW is on Late shift, and apparently he has a load of CAFs (some sort of IT process - I don't know the details) that have to be done after 18:00 today, so no idea what time he'll be home. Hence dins I can just pop on a plate, and if necessary, have mine before he gets in.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

((big hugs)) It is hard when everyone is 'comparing' children :( They are all individual, and have their own strengths and weaknesses.
Do you genuinely like this group? Or is it too competitive? If the answers are 'no' and 'yes', then maybe it is time to let them go :o
Just reading about all the activities these children are doing wore me out!!
My DS hasn't joined any groups/clubs etc, and is perfectly happy. DH may have wanted him to play football, but he doesn't. He is sociable and polite, but doesn't go to camp! There is more to life than getting your child to be a social climber :D

Right, I've been missing for a day, had to put the brakes on for the sake of my health. Have hardly done anything and the list looks enormous even after I've deleted everything that's been done or isn't applicable.
DH should be here most of tomorrow so I've told him we're having a 'productive' day which means building wardrobes and clearing out the shed for him and working through the list for me.
My mattress came today so I've unpacked it and made up the spare bed and it looks lovely :)
Not up to a hhc but might see what easy things I can pick off the list that won't use too much energy.
Hope everyone's doing okay, I've completely lost track of the thread, sorry!

Goodintentions- maybe you're right. I dont know. There is one of them I could happily never see again, and one other one I have nothing in common with. Maybe it is time to move on from those 2 certainly. There was a big deal made last night about booking a summer barbeque, and a Christmas do, and a 10 year anniversary bash, all with the husbands, and my DH doesnt want to do any of them. Neither do I now I come to think of it. I dont know how to say "count us out" without sounding rude.

DS has Aspergers and socially he does fairly well but he's just emotionally and generally so immature, so things like the fact that I can now leave him in the leisure centre cafe for 5 minutes while I take DD2 to the toilet during DD1's swimming lesson is a really big deal for us, his peers have been doing things like that for a year or two. Our big achievements mean nothing to those other girls. I want to be able to celebrate our successes, no matter how small, but they sound insignificant to "normal" families. I dont want him to be Mr Competitive or Mr Social Climber but he isn't up there with his peers and that is hard. Bah. Sorry to whinge on.
