  • Thanks for all the congratulations *blushes*

    Without sounding too arrogant hopefully :o I am SO PLEASED. I knew I was going to be on the borderline so I'm happy that it went that way and not the other. :D:D:D

    Still, two more years of that til it's worth anything ;)

    Plumber is coming in a few hours - I wonder if I could ask him to replace the bath sealant ;) :A

    Huge congratulations FritteredAway!

    This is where I've got today so far:
    Thursday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Strip the bedding and wash it
    [/STRIKE]
    Turn and vacuum (if needed) the mattress.. then remake the bed.. don't leave it while bedtime!!! haha this'll be fun, never not left it till bedtime in my life. Am cursing once a week at 11pm : )
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floors
    Sort through a box of junk from either of these places
    Put away the floordrobe
    [/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]

    * 3 loads laundry

    [STRIKE][/STRIKE]* tidy downstairs and up
    [/STRIKE]* swish and swipe bathroom
    * 20 minutes in garden
    * paperwork etc
    [STRIKE]* hoover and mop downstairs
    [/STRIKE]* get some rubbish out of the car
    * write down spending

    Urgh the bedroom wasn't fun! Doing a bit of decluttering in there every day this week was my plan...not touched it (no change there for about the last year then). Today as it was actually bedroom day I thought I'd better start!

    It looks better...but I feel worse. It was an awful, Kim and Aggie style mess (not too dirty but a tip, no floor space empty at all). But I'd managed just to not look at it for months, so it wasn't bothering me too badly. Now, I'm looking at it, and realising how much distance there is to go. I am stressed by not having places to put things, and realising even tidied up my furniture is horrid/broken etc. The stuff has all spilled out into my newly-tidy other rooms...I have a vast, vast pile of laundry in the bathroom, stuff that's clean but covered in dust and cat hair from not being put away properly. I also have great piles of stuff to go in the loft in my office. Have to get that up there this weekend!

    Must. Think. Positive. I've made a start. And if someone came and looked round my whole house in depth (heaven forbid!), I'd be less embarrassed now than I would have been this morning.

    Ho hum. 15 minute break then on we go!

    *sigh* my pennies are little.

    I need the decorator quote and a room measurement so I can price up carpet.. before I can accurately estimate my budgetting...

  • Scratch what I said about the sealant, it's positively gleaming after an overnight bleach. :D

    I AM going to get this bathroom thoroughly cleaned. Just stood on a chair to S&S the hatch to the roof (yes, really) and the lampshade etc.

    Can you soak plastic stuff in bleach? We have one of those extendable shower shelf things (you know what I mean) and it's, er, rather black around the bottom. :o

    congratulations!

    Helped at sports day, went shopping, came home and am about to start tea.

    Did shed load of ironing.

    Still a bit down about DS's interview - I had hoped he'd get it - he is sick of working at the golden arches...and always being broke...:(
