dealt with tiny frog - jam (made two weeks ago) now labelled and in the cupboard. Found some unlabelled shredless marmalade though *sigh* so shall label that now..

I have some lovely labels sent ot me by a king and generous flylady :A:A.

I smile every time I use one, or serve some jam. Any ideas for cherry jam without lumps please Valli? I have 5lb to use and the boy doesn't like lumps! I cant find a recipe for juice only so no idea on quantities for the overnight drip thingy.

Well done you, and congrats to your OH on the job

Squeak making a mess with a ginger biscuit and a sherbet flying saucer..

Lucky squeak - sounds good to me!

Not much done, tired and sore today so nothing beyond DW/WM likely. Had a great conversation with OH recently. He looked round at the mess, and said (whilst shaking his head) - you are not coping are you? No s**t sherlock says I. Never mind says he, have you thought about getting a cleaner? To be fair, he works full time and I don't, and he has a major and genuine back problem that stops him from doing stuff he does want to do, and he and his first wife had a cleaner, gardener and nanny . In the early days of flylady I realised I used more negative engery resenting everyone else than it actually took to tidy up :o

 right back at you Pollybear

Today I met one of the mums from school and gave her ALL of DS2s Thomas stuff for her lovely little 3yo who is Thomas obsessed. DS2 has had nothing but Thomas for the last three years but has now decided he is too old so this de-cluttered a whole three toyboxes, happy days :D. Much nicer than Freegle as I have watched this little boy grow from a baby, and he has a newborn younger brother who will no doubt inherit the trains and track too.

ETA 7 days left in which to clean the house. I still don't have my car back from the garage, and trying to put five people and a weeks luggage in a four seater sports car to get to Manchester airport is a touch problematic!

  • Yep, first year of the course. Technically it's my second year of university cause I went last year but, er, failed miserably. :o Changed uni and course and I'm much happier this year, and it shows :j

Hex I would boil them up, strain overnight through a muslin and then do a pound of sugar to a pint of liquid which is what I did for damsons - so it will be cherry jelly. Would have thought there'll be plenty of pectin them being a stone fruit. It's what I intend to do should my colleague gift me cherries again...

just chewed the fat with my friend who's been giving DD a lift to her work experience and who has been impressed with maturity and confidence of said DD. And has praised her - and said how easy she is to talk to.. and DS came in, was heading upstairs - told him my friend was here and came back down to say hi and chatted for a bit too -

am quite proud of my kids tonight...

missed a trick though - got a sales cold call - should have put her on what with her being a trading standards officer;)

Decluttered a snooze here only to wake up and find hubby on about a job that he's after. Problem is they want a CV sent over for tomorrow morning, so i need your lovely help.

    *question, help please*
Where would i be able to get a free, good, online CV template??

I don't think hubby is anywhere near ready for work yet but he's set on it so i said i'd help with his CV. :o Except i don't have a clue how to do one and i need to make it look good. Any help or advise would be great..
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

aj - hope you menege to get things sorted mum-wise, I am catching up on everything, but is it your wedding, and congrats and good luck to whomever it is thats getting married :)

Yes it is our wedding, on Saturday. They are letting mum out tomorrow, only releasing her though, she has to go back in on Sunday. They have known all along about the wedding so have done their best. I think the worst is over but it is going to be a long recovery process and they say she may never get her health back to where it was.

Picked the kilts up today. Tomorrow we have the cake to pick up, my nails to be done (on my own as none of my family will be here yet :() and then take everything to the hotel.
