it is possible he was joking and you have over-reacted... but the fact it has upset you should have him begging not to have his head ripped off and his insides sucked out!

I think he needs reminding you have, for the next couple of months at least, had your sense of humour removed and hormone fuelled rage added in its place.. and one more joke he will have a nice pair of earrings and a neck tie :p

Seriously, tel him a joke if funny, that wasn't and if he doesn't apologise you will tell all his friends he is mean..

OH laughed at me because I had to stand on the hearth on my tiptoes to blow out a candle on the top of the fireplace.. he laughed at me.. because I am short.. I told him he is a giraffe (13 inches taller than me!) and if he was a proper gentleman he'd have leaped up and done it for me.

Either make him realise or error of his ways or give as good as you get.. better if possible! :p

    If all else fails.. cry!

Very childish (some will say) but perhaps you should say something negative about a part of his body and then say it was a joke. A taste of his own medicine might teach him to be more considerate!

Oh yes, a casual (but said in a serious manner) comment about how his willy is looking smaller these days should do it. :rotfl:

Most men are paranoid about their wee pal. :D

OP, try not to let this fester. I know you're hurt but it's not healthy to become too focused on being upset iyswim. He's not a bad man...he's a foolish and unthinking man. Hopefully he'll think twice before opening his mouth to joke in future.

Congratulations on your wonderful baby news. :) You will be feeling hypersensitive at the moment. I would show you hubby this thread and let him realise what an idiot has been. Does he know how lucky he is? He needs to.

I take it your hubby is not 'fit as' with a six pack and toned to perfection. Ask him casually what his excuse is for not being able to see his feet anymore. I mean you are pregnant, 8 weeks gone and probably still in great shape right. Should send home a message loud and clear that his 'joke' was not appreciated.

And for the sad poster making a fuss about this thread not being money saving, jeez I bet you are a right jobsworth out there in the real world. Everything in its place and no thinking outside the box for you lucyloves hey :D

If it didn't make you laugh then it's not a joke.

Everyone (okay most people) has hang ups about their body but I really don't think it's nice of your husband to make a comment about it. I can understand why you're upset. If it were me, I would be too. My OH would never make any comments about my body in that way. He knows how insecure I am. If he thought it was a joke then he needs a better sense of humour.
