  • Just got one for my son.
    Bargain. :- )
Forgot to get double points though :- (
  • Ive been playing with my laptop for a few hours now and im very happy with it. Although I am ordering another 512mb memory to fit in the machine.

Its worth mentioning that as with a lot of laptops these days you have to burn your own restore disks as none are supplied. I recommend you do this as soon as you get the laptop. You will need blank 7 cd's or 2 DVD's. If you dont make then you will kick yourself when you need them.
  • Just used the code for an additional 500 pts. on a £50 spend - better than double points - 874 altogether for me.

    Merry Moneysaving...or is that Moneyspending!!!

  • There £242 for a reason, only 256mb memory, only a dvd/cdrw, only 40gb, basic graphics

But still probably the cheapest laptop your gona get. Personally I would still get the Acer over what the Dell outlet offers for the same price

origo,I bought a dell desk top from Dell outlet, i have been told they are over orders, so not all are returns, and if they are returns,Dell wouldnt let a broken one be sold ! My brother picked mine out,so i have huge hard disc, huge ram,and a excellent Graphic card . I can now see my house on google earth. Mine looked brand new,and cost £200 cheaper. and i got a Windows XP disc, more than i got with Packard Bell computer i had .

Someone said if you create a restore point you can burn more than one set of recovery disks - does anyone know how to do this?

    ahhh its ok found it
  • Well i am due an upgrade to my antiquated Del Inspiron 4000 and have decided to forgo all the games malarky as I am happy with the PSP for that.

I looke dta this , but Friday had to setup 3 Sony NVM11 laptops for a customers kids christmas present.

They are probably the best laptop I have worked with this year , closely followed by the Dell 1300 for Value.

Cant comment on the ACER , but if you have a reasonable skill levle on reinstalling software and operating system , shouldnt be a problem.
