SNAD, I know that the buyer would then have to pay to return it & I would be peeved if someone did this to me, however he said that he didn't want it, so could damage it & then return it, so the OP is down the postage & has an item that he can't sell either.
The buyer may not be aware that a courier can be booked online on a Sunday, or that the seller was that efficient in booking it.
I can't see that this is going to have a good ending.

A shop wouldnt refund you if you damaged an item, so I can't see them doing that. More fool them really...

I think you are misunderstanding hermums post. She is not saying it is SNAD - she is saying that the buyer could claim it's SNAD in order to get a refund for the item they didn't actually want. They could damage it and return it or simply just return it either way PAYPAL would refund them!

Yes as Mrs_justjohn said ebay & paypal will always side with the buyer, the buyer has said they don't want it.
Maybe they'll accept it but it isn't a chance that I would want to take on an expensive item.

I would offer to leave a positive if they paypal money to cover all ebay listing/final value fees and paypal fees, money to cover already booked courier (if you cant cancel), and extra to cover time wasted on listing, time wasted on answering their 101 questions and time wasted on relisting/answering more questions from others.

As a seller you can't leave anything but positive??

I guess you could not leave any feedback but how would that hurt them??

I would also think that would just make them neg you??

I would add to your posts the fact that if the buyer does take delivery of something they don't want and wins a SNAD claim (as discussed above) then the OP loses a great deal more as he will be out of pocket for th eoriginal postage as well. Also I can see no mechanism at all on ebay for sellers to force a buyer to cover lost fees etc.

It seems likely he will lose the original postage costs anyway as he has already booked the courier and I am not sure they would refund simply because he changed his mind about sending it (I can't see the courier making allowances for the foibles of an ebay buyer).

No I don't believe there is one either. I have had buyers offer to cover my fee's when they have changed their mind but I usually decline and just reclaim the FVF via the resolution centre.

The OP must be frustrated but I don't see the logic in sending it.
