Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 3rd July 2011

I spent a fair amount of my budget today :undecided £10 was for the lottery syndicate at work which I didn't budget for though, plus 60p for a can of coke and an ever-so-small shop in superdrug, but unfortunately what I bought (facewash) is pretty expensive! So around £16 of my £30 budget at the moment, but tomorrow should be a NSD, and should be minimal/nil spends the rest of the week too.....watch this space! lol

I have a feeling I'm going to go over my limit already
I took my £10 train budget out of my account and ended up using it to pay for unexpected prescriptions. I guess If I only put £10 petrol in the car and don't have a drink on my night out I may be able to stay under £30. Tomorrow should be a better day, I'll only need to pay £1.80 for my return train ticket and money for posting ebay items has already been paid by the buyers so I'm not counting that. Paying off the overdraft:
End of April= -£500
Today= -£4550 -

Hi all!
I was really excited about my NSD yesterday (how sad!), until I realised there was a rollover on the Euromillions and I thought I just had to buy a ticket. Doh! So my current spend sits at £23.07 with 2 and a half days to go.....I'm convinced I will stay within my £30 budget this week! Unfortunately the Euros was a rollover again last night so I will just have to buy a ticket or 2 on Friday (well you never know!) but that should be the only thing I spend money on the rest of the week....just got to stay strong and resist any other temptations for now!!
Hope everyone else is doing better than me!

Hi all
Hope everyone is having a nice week. I'll update properly later with all spends but I've completely blown my weekly budget (and in fact monthly budget!) as I've had to have a major oil leak fixed on my car. I have a friend in work who has a friend who works for Drive Vauxhall (I have a Corsa) and he does mates rates so luckily I'm only paying £22 for parts and £40 for labour, but that includes a new rocker cover gasket, a new oil pressure switch, and a full steam clean of the engine. Still, it's £62 I REALLY didn't have this month, things were very tight anyway
Hey ho, more important that my car works - I do about 300 miles a week and will be for another 6 months or so, so can't afford for the engine to get wrecked for the sake of £62!!!
I'll update later with all spends ...

Confusing money today:
Spent £1.00 on 2 plants from the farm for my friends, £6.50 on cigs and £3.15 on Starbucks when I went out to see my friends earlier (haven't seen them all week, so was nice)
Made £3.00 on refund at Starbucks for crappy panini I had on Friday, and £1.00 from my friend for a few cigs and found 5p in the bottom of my bag
So... *thinks* ... that's £10.65 out and £4.05 in so a total spend of £6.60.
Cool
£6.60/£30
Have a nice Monday everyone, personally I'm dreading already! :rotfl:

Hi all
Spends in total then:
Sun 3 July: £6.60 cigs and coffee
Mon 4 July: £12.46 - 2 drinks at pub and cigs
Tue 5 July: £2.25 - milk, cherries, bananas
Wed 6 July: £6.36 cigs, £62 on fixing oil leak on car - very good price though!
Total so far for the week - £89.67/£30 !!!
Can safely say I'm in the red again then!!! :rotfl:
Glad my car is fixed though, the leak was so bad there would be a puddle of oil under it even for just pausing in the same space for a minute!
After the guy fixed it today, he brought is back at lunchtime and it was parked in a different place to where I usually park so no oil stains haha, and when I got it after work had finished there was no oil puddle!!! Yay! What a relief!
