There haven't been any access problems reported on the forums and other than 5 minutes downtime on Thursday I haven't had any problems.

What problems are you getting?

The loading page just hangs and displays nothing. When I do get on it is running very slow, I tend to walk away from sites when this happens, give it a few days and then try again. I just needed to remove some items from my shop though as I am completely out of stock.

I'm confused as well, I think I've become invisible.

The problem is due to your email account bouncing ebid's emails.

Have you added ebid's support email address to your white list or tried emailing them from a different email address? In case you don't have the address, it's support@ebid.net

Hi Captain,

I did get a reply from the support team this afternoon. They have passed
the issue over to the forum moderators. I was told the moderator
will reply to my query directly, but yet to receive anything from them
yet.

So I am getting the emails through so I dont think emails are bouncing.

So I guess I'll have to wait and see what they write to me.

I got a phone number for Ebid when I paid by paypal the transaction
shows there is a phone number. Could I contact on that number?

So there isn't any problem with your actual ebid account any more, you've just had your forum privileges revoked, is that right?

If you have been suspended from the forums it's a 3 day ban for a first offence so you'll be able to post again tomorrow.

If it's not just a forum suspension and you still can't sign in to your ebid account, what did the email say?

Sorry, can't help. I've accessed the site on two computers using firefox, i.e., safari and chrome and it's loading and running fine on all of them.

I tend not to panic too much for these minor issues. At least I can access my account and remove the items I have sold out of and I don't really need to do much more so I can afford to wait for any problems with my internet set up and ebid to clear.

I am not an expert (I wish I was), but if it's working fine for other people then the issue might be how your computer is talking to eBid's and lie somewhere between your machine, your ISP's machine and eBid's server, rather than be automatically their fault.

We are still on AOHell but our problem is the government won't improve the high-speed broadband service to rural areas like ours until 2015 at the earliest (thanks to scrapping the broadband tax, of course), and to compound this, my computer has a chip in it which means that the signal from a wireless network is not received as clearly as some machines do (my techie friend pointed this out when I was having difficulty picking up a faint signal at a pub that she could connect to without a problem). Thus I tend to regard most internet/online game problems as being at my end, and be a bit more sanguine - possibly too much - about actual site glitches.

Ironically when I can afford a new machine I probably won't have the time to make proper use of it. Oh well, such is life.

I always find a large gin helps with those minor irritations.

Yes, it's a well established fact that technology and potato products don't mix. I use the principle in my tin-foil hats. Two layers of tin-foil with an insulating layer of crisps in the middle (ready salted work best) and 99.9% of all transmissions are blocked.

I'm not a gin girl, but a Pimms never goes amiss (although that is gin based I understand) :D

I have to be patient sometimes as I have a short fuse and once threw a printer out of the window because it wouldn't print even with a new ink cartridge.
