OK - that means it's your TV that's not connecting, not the TP-Link.
Log in to your TP-Link from your web browser and go to the 'Status' page. Copy/paste everything it says (except - delete the MAC address) here.604!0 -

OK - you've got it set up in the wrong mode. It needs to be in 'Client' mode. I'll paste my status.604!0

Do you have MAC filtering enabled in your router? If, yes you will need to log in to your router first and add the MAC address of the TP-Link to the router's MAC allowed list.
To set-up the TP-Link in CLIENT MODE, you need to do the following:
1. Disconnect the TP-L ethernet cable from the TV.
2. Connect the TP-L to the router with the ethernet cable.
3. Log-in to the TP-L from your PC using 192.168.1.254 and go to the 'Status' page.
Let me know when you've got that far.604!0 -
done that, at status page
also already done this,

OK, next go to Wireless --> Wireless Settings and in the Operation Mode drop down list select 'Client' and at the bottom tick 'Enable Wireless Radio' then click on 'Save' at the bottom of the page.
Next select 'Wireless Security' in the menu on the left. Put in the correct security details for your router and save.
Once you've done that go back to 'Wireless Settings' and click on 'Survey.' If it finds your router's SSID click, connect.
If it connects successfully you should see the Traffic Statistics on the 'Status' page. Let me know how that goes.

It will probably ask you to reboot the TP-L as you change/save settings so just do as it says.604!0
