    hi

we went to Haven Perran Sands in june and loved it - the best Haven we have been too - we are 2 adults and kids age 5 and 6 and dog - we loved the quiet dunes location -(although we did have a privately owned van in a quiet location) kids could play in the dunes and we could see them whilst sitting outside van- we loved the beach / surf - we loved the pool - long / deep enough for swimming but a flume for excitement...we loved the adventure playground in the touring area - a good walk for the dog and a place for the kids to play half way round the walk..

    - we loved the showbar - but always left by 8.30pm to get kids to bed so no idea what happened in their in the evenings...

so as everyone has different expectations from a holiday - can you say why you did not rate the park and then we can see what you like / dislike in a park and we should be able to suggest alternatives? some people want quiet parks others want lively adult shows?? let us know what you want and we can suggest places?

  • I am really keen to book the holiday this year, I have four paper tokens and I have taken the codes for the missing one's from your forum. I am assuming that the codes can be completed online rather than posting it all ?? and if so how quickly can this be done ? Does anyone know the full ten ??? I've booked before but years ago and I have moved since so I guess that I won't get priority booking ?? thanks for your help :j

You can only book online if you have a priority code, otherwise you need to collect ten paper tokens and post them in with a booking form. No one knows all ten yet anyways, the last one will be out on sunday 10th :)

There worth it not been to a bad park yet. touch wood! Works out cheaper for families etc the do add extras on (which you pay nearer the time) for entertainment and bedding but i usually take bedding it doesnt take up much room and depends on you if you need the entertainment.:)[/QUOTE]

The parks are fab, I've done this a few times now and am loving this thread as I have a priority booking form and will be booking online on Sunday morning. However, I would suggest sticking to Haven, Parkdean, Park Resorts, and Butlins. Don't go to Pontins! All of their parks are on Holiday watchdog with appalling reviews. Pontins are actually in administration and are hoping to seek a buy-out which means they have had no money at all ploughed into their chalets and apartments for years, some reviews say that the apartments were so bad (very dirty), that they left their holiday a day, even 2 days early and went home. I did have a cheap holiday booked to Brean Sands (Pontins) for August, but after much research and deliberation I cancelled it.

Stick to the biggies though, and you will have great holidays. I highly recommend Warmwell at Parkdean, even the standard 2 bedroom lodges are fab!
