    How are you all this morning?

    How are you Pooky? How far are you away from moving? Remembered NOT to bubble wrap the hubby!

    I've got that application to finish Z :( Must focus on doing a good job on it.

    Have managed to get the Uni to write off my library fine as I have inadvertantly not taken one book back. Off there tomorrow to do some dissertation research.

    Oh joy, to the application form.

    Butti - the top hat comment was lost on me for a second too! No trouble on that front last night so I feel almost human again today.

    Been doing a bit of a tidy round as the parents are coming tomorrow, mother has high standards which aren't easy to live up to in the current "box city" that is my house.

    Solicitor is still working towards the 18th of the month as it was mentioned somewhere along the line but no one else's solicitor seems to be confirming.....luckily we don't have to move on completion day itself as we're renting but I just want to get in and get the carpets up ready for the new flooring to go down. Hey ho, good things come to those who wait.

    In other news I got given a lovely oak standard lamp from a freecycler, minus a shade but someone offered me one of those to recover......wasn't recoverable as I wanted it to be ( iei glue fabric on to the existing stuff) so have spent a few hours with bits of wire, glue and fabric and made a bit of a wonky mess....but it will do for now (fabric was free from another free cycle person years ago so zero cost). I do like a bit of free!

    Been to a charity wheelchair football event today,in memory of my friend who died last year....it was raising funds for an electric wheelchair for one of the kids at her school (Chailey heritage)...they were hoping to raise 4k,but made 8 !!
    DH due back from Gib tomorrow,I have enjoyed the time alone-like the old days when he worked!

    Evening all, it is a glorious end to the day here, considering how wet and miserable it was this morning.

    OH has taken the 2 boys out for something to eat and I have a lovely cottage pie in the oven for me and him when he returns, might stretch to a little glass of vino this evening. I know it is only Tuesday but the bright evenings always make me want to sit back and have a glass of something cold and alcoholic.

    Hope everyone has had a good day.

    good luck with application Butti. Nice to see chat is keeping going again.

    I dropped an open carton of creme fraiche in the kitchen and it didn't pour all over the floor but it splashed:
    * my glasses
    * my hair
    * my hands
    * my work jacket & trousers
    * front of cupboard
    * teatowel
    * floor
    * oven
    * my bike (was indoors)
    etc

    Yikes Katsu - what a mess.
    Especially the work clothes and your hair. Poor you. Are you all cleaned up now? or do you have a dog who can help with the cleaning? - my dog is there like a shot if I spill any food/drink in the kitchen.

    I don't think I would have splashed that much if I'd had a firework go off in it...
