Good to have someone around who knows what they are talking about!

I take it you weren't talking about me at that point... :p

The elephant and giraffe enclosure is amazing.

Why can't they use a wooden fence like everyone else?

Morning all, looks like the start of a decent weekend, weather wise.

Kids finished school last week so any good weather is much appreciated to get them outside and stop them being "bored".

Usual weekend catching up from the working week for me, but at least will settle down this evening to a glass or two of something cold and alcoholic.

    Did anyone win the Euromillion$?

Here's a Cheap Brand/Expensive Brand taste test for people.

I'm a bit dubious about the eggs though. Makes you wonder what they're feeding the hens...

On the tomato ketchup front I believe there is only one brand, on the muesli front I'm a firm fan of the 69p orange and white saver brand in Mr S.

On Thursday I took a couple of photo's of myself in a dress in the changing rooms of a well known British retailer. I'm going in to town now to get a pattern for a shift dress which I shall adapt. It's a striped dress and the black stripes are going to be replaced by brown stripes from linen trousers that are shot. Very MSE, very sound of music! (If I pull it off I suspect I won't be able to go into that retailer in that dress!)

    Right, where's my cycle helmet?

Blimey Butti -I'm impressed! I thought I was doing well replacing a zip in a dress-but making your own? Kudos to you! D'ya take commissions?? I am after a dress EXACTLY like the one Barbara Bach wears in the Pyramid scenes in the Bond movie "The spy who loved me" ..it's quite simple, dark midnight blue with diamante neckline and straps-my idea of heaven-in-a-dress! (Course, if I think it'[ll make me LOOK like Barbara Bach.....)

I'm a bit dubious about the paper! :D Btw, I will get back to you soon with that ordered list of life priorities, I'm in the middle of a house move right now and a bit short on time.

Well isn't that a short priority list all on its own? ;)

Lets not run before we can walk SRM. I shall put up once finished but I have found a pattern so I think it is a doer. Going up to Newcastle on Monday so will look in Bainbridge's for fabric, then will have to try out a prototype in sheets! Do want to try and get this right first time or will kind of be pointless.

Well done on the zips - not an easy job to do well (If I was going to be truly authentic I would put a side zip in - but not easy at all, so the back will do!)
