Morning chatters, another beautiful day here in the North East.

Lots to do including popping to see Granda to tidy up his garden, he is really struggling in his house at the moment so we have upped the care package but not sure how much longer he will be able to stay there.

Butti, any dress I made would end up only fitting someone with two heads and five arms so well done you!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Morning all, lovely bright morning here.

Louise we too are struggling with the care system for my elderly aunt, again don't know how long she can continue to cope on her own. Its getting to the point where she is becoming a danger to herself but ss don't seem to see it, ah well just have to keep battling on.

    Have a great day all.

I have cheated even more than I said Lou. I feel a bit naughty but in an evil feeling good sort of way. Have actally bought the dress yesterday, will carefully pin along key sections today in a straight line and use that to plot those sections (some of the stripes aren't straight!) The dress will go back today or tomorrow.

Cups of tea and the like are going NOWHERE near it!

If I do get the dress right I will be VERY chuffed with myself. Right onward and upward.

    Hello All

Had a good day at the Zoo yesterday - apart from the electric wheelchair running out of juice at the furthest point away! Luckily four of the zoo staff carried it to a trailer and then gave me a lift to my car, put the wheelchair in the car for me and then gave me a lift back to my daughter :D They were absolute stars. The zoo also lent us a manual wheelchair but if any of you have been there, you will know it is the most hilliest place ever, so she had to get out and walk on some of the hills as it was impossible to push, meaning that she is paying for it today. It breaks my heart everytime. She has a lovely day out and then pays for it the next day.

Tenmah sorry to hear about your daughter. It's pretty tough when you pay the next day. Never seems fair even when you've had a nice day.

Sorry the day wasn't as you'd planned Tenmah, but well done to the zoo staff for their help! Have you thought about a portable scooter for J? I can recommend one that's easy to get in and out of the car - just give me a shout on the book of faces and I can send you the link.

Ive not been to that zoo for a few years but always loved it. DH and his parents lived up that way when we met so it was somewhere we took DDs when they were little.

Still waiting for our completion date to move, getting a bit stressy about it all now. The good thing about stress is the effect it has on my weight, combined with the fact that I've stopped drinking (not that I drank much but realised I wasn't actually enjoying it as much as I thought) so I've lost 20lbs....downside is that nothing fits properly and I'm forever walking around hoiking up my jeans.

    Hi Pooky

We usually borrow a portable scooter from our local Shopmobility, but they didn't have any available at the weekend, so it was them that gave us the wheelchair. She found the wheelchair much easier as she could get up to things easier than in a scooter and gave her more flexibility for moving around, so that is the next thing on our wish list! Although it will have to be one that folds to get in the car as this one didn't so there was no way I could lift it on my own!

Crikey, well done on the weightloss. As you say every cloud.... Hope you get the moving date soon, I bet you can't wait.

Sorry Pooky, that last comment will be lost on almost everyone!

Where are peeps?I thought you all wanted to come back on Daily Chat! It seems it's just me and my shorts (which may actually be a blessing, as will the lack of webcam!)

Right, a bit more gardening in the glorious sunshine and then back to dreaded application form. Why can't you just say 'I would like a job please' and someone gives you one something like what you want!

    Ah well.....

Unfortunately, even when you apply for the job you want, it never turns out like that...
