    I have to disagree.

I was caught driving without an MOT - 3 days out or something - and got charged with no insurance too and had to go to court for it.

Either I was very unlucky and the law and my solicitor was wrong or if you are driving without an MOT then it means that you aren't covered by insurance.

In that case you were wrongly convicted.

Unless the insurance had actually run out at the same time as well.

Well your full comp cover could well and truly be void but you would still get third party. The whole policy and cover wouldn't be void though.

Not void, no. Potentially voidable, but definitely not void.

More info please. When did this happen, did you have insurance, did your solicitor argue that you still have third party cover without an MOT?
