I've tried the link but can't access either the ebook or the pdf document. Is it because I'm using Firefox, I wonder?

A couple of weeks ago I got caught stealing wood from a bit of wasteland - I posted about it here - the bloke was very snarky, said he was going to give the wood to his staff and did it have a sign on it saying 'help yourself'...anyway I apologised and put it back.
It's still there today, someone has made a fire with one pile of it and it's obviously not going anywhere. If I had the energy I'd offer to clear it up for a tenner but I havent' - it's just sad that it isn't being used.0 -
Gosh I seem to have been rather absent for a whole month! Eek.
I am trying to keep the housekeeping down, and use up the things that we have in the store cupboard and the freezer. I am also trying to still use up all the smellies etc that I have had lurking. I was on the No Toiletries in Jan thread once, but I cannot keep up with the number of threads anymore.
I had a very Unfrugal two nights at Ragdale Hall with my friend Molly. Although I was treated to the time there as my birthday gift, I still managed to spend £145 on treatments.! Mind you I have come back in better spirits, my skin feels much better, and i have a few dietry alterations to make. The doctor there thinks I may be milk intolerant and suggests I try soya milk. So when i next shop thats got to be on the list.
I had a battle with the Gas Board, trying to take £133 a month from my account, when the amount of gas I had used in 7 months was only £250 worth!
The electric is on a pay as you go meter, and I seem to be managing on £20 for about a fortnight. Thats will the extra sewing and the iron on a lot.
I have plenty of sewing to finish off and to put on the website to sell. So I have had to decided to Pay for DGD to go to Holiday club two sessions a week. £28 a week is a lot, but if I get my act together then I can manage to make about 6 bags each session, and they are adveraging out at about £10 a bag, so I figure I need to keep the sewing going and get the things out there. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Have you got a link to your bags? I'd love to see them, I'm just starting some patchwork0 -

Here's another one coming "out of the woodwork" to say that I stopped keeping proper records in May - but I think my mindset is still the same. Every pound in my purse is a prisoner until I'm really sure I have to spend it.
I missed the bus home last night - well, I was there at the bus stop, and the driver came back from somewhere, got in, looked neither to left or to right, and drove away leaving me standing! (I was SO angry and upset I nearly cried - meant to report her today but didn't have time). Anyway, in the "old days" I would have gone straight to the taxi rank and got home that way. But, even though I was very tired, I waited half an hour for the next bus and got home free with my granny pass, saving about £8!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
All the non-recorders are coming out of the woodwork now! It's like an AA meeting: My name is Redglass and I don't keep proper records.
But I feel a lot more cheerful to realise I'm in such good company.
Have lots of fun with the new car and bike, Aril and FF!
I don't frequent the Arms but you do hear of it getting unpleasant over there. Are you serious about someone 'stalking' you, even if it's cyberstalking? It sounds horrible, have you reported them?
Well...reporting a stalker isnt something that always works unfortunately.
One can (and should) report particularly nasty posts a stalker has put up somewhere - but they do sometimes put up snide comments that they know you'll know are meant for you (but it wouldnt be obvious to the "outside observer").
So - overall - I have come to the conclusion that one does a combination of reporting particularly nasty posts and putting them on Ignore (so you dont see the posts personally - but just get told by MSE friends that there was "another one of those posts" and they've reported it for you).
One thing is totally clear though - and that is that its just a total waste of time to speculate (either openly or just within your own head) as to just why some people put up nasty posts against others. That is a total waste of time and energy to wonder why they do so - just think "There do seem to be some odd people around and some people just DO put up nasty posts for no obvious reason" and deal with it and move on...
I think nasty posts from stalkers might be down to maybe they're having a bad day and taking it out on you (yes I know they shouldnt), maybe they think you're a nasty person just because you have a different/perfectly valid viewpoint to their own (yes I know they shouldnt)/maybe you've inadvertently pushed a "hot button" of theirs that is there because of some way someone else mistreated them (or they think that person did...) in the past and they have "hit back" at you (even though you arent the person that did/they think did whatever-it-was to them)...who knows? and the only way to deal with these posts is to think "...and who cares?".0 -

Alas as DGD is a foster child, I get her allowance, but I am not eligeable for Child benefit, or child tax credits, or the other child credits. Otherwise I would be claiming them.
Once the Guardianship is done, (if it ever happens at this rate), then I will be able to claim these things.
But until then, its look at the budget.
She does get her free 15 hours a week in term time, but not in holiday time.
Time for my shower and wash my hair while she is watching a video in her bed.
Tumptyteapot there are a few of the things I have recently made on my homepage/blog. there isnt anything on the mooloo website at the moment. Hopefully at the beginning of the month there will be though! Ooh nothing serious redglass just someone who delights in following me around threads making snidey remarks.
But it does get me down sometimes!xHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
