Once upon a time I used to have christmas all wrapped up by now. Then partners split up, and some one died. So I dont tend to start thinking properly about it until after October. However now that things are changing dynamically here, I am not so sure.

At home we no longer give presents to brothers and sisters. When we all started to have children the adults stopped getting presents. As we all were in the same situation it was a good decision.
Each of us have three children. When the children start to have children, then they are then crossed off, so that basically it means that the children get the presents.
However as the family has expanded so much, and now they are scattered to all corners of the country it is now usual to just send a card.
Which for me is very handy.
The people on my list are my Parents, who always say no presents. So I look for a small token for them. Or a silly joke thing. One year it was a pastic parrot on a hoop from the £1 shop. It was as a joke becuase my SIL always calls them the Parrots and not the parents.
My girls usually get some sort of smellies from me, or something to do with hair and makeup. But now thier father and his wife have started to do that, so I think I will need to rethink. Perhaps some sort of Hamper of goodies for them now they have thier own houses.

Oh heck you have got me thinking now.!!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I think hampers are great mooloo, u can pick stuff up throughout the year to speak the cost. A movie night hamper is good, couple of cheap dvds, bottles of POP, big bags of m&ms, popcorn. I've seen in magazines reusable stripey popcorn cups like the ones u used to get in the pictures.
Bookworm box, cheap books, add in bookmarks, book light, some snack bags

Morning all, new here! Decided last night if I ever want a new kitchen I need to cut down on my spending!

Doing well so far, had a T***o delivery the other day, bought a bag of popcorn kernels to make our own popcorn, only to find they were three and a half months out of date!
Complained to T, just emailed with a £1.59 refund for item, plus £10 voucher off my next shopping :T
Saving as much as possible to replace all the things I've had years and are on their way to the knackers yard

I give my 8 year old vouchers as part of his birthday present - 'this voucher entitles you to ask your mummy to stop what she is doing and play a game with you for one hour' and 'this voucher entitles you to watch a film and eat popcorn with your mum'

DHL still haven't delivered my shoes, despite the online tracker saying that they have left cards, but the company I am buying through has been fantastic and refunded me a tenner! They say they have given them an earful and my shoes will be with me on Monday.
