Have 2 final uu for July, Avon Japenese sake and rice illuminating something or other, this was a sachet which I opened and squeezed into a tub, it lasted ages, smelt lovely, reminded me of holidays but it did not illuminate, so wnba. Also a sure cotton dry stick deoderant, wba but not for a long while, it does do a good job though.

Had 23 uu and 7 outs this month, so really pleased with that, don't think it will be that good next month:(.

    Last post for July :D

Went for my BS makeover yesterday. Ended up meeting DD in town so persuaded her to have the makeover instead - it was so nice to see her make-up done properly and she looked healthy instead of deathly pale :rotfl: Spend my £10 voucher on a cleanser, toner and serum-type lotion for her - only cost me 90p after voucher, offer and LYB discount :p

    no IN's and one UU:
Avon Kids Detangling Spray: WIBA? I have one in stash which is now in use. I don't think I will buy this again. It does the job it's supposed to very well but I really don't like the Watermelon fragrance.

See you all in August :A
  • I'm back! Hope everyone's well. Don't think I can face pages and pages of catching up, will see you over in the August thread!

  • Just reporting my UU for the end of July, thanks for starting the August () thread Mingle, I'm glad someone else always does it cos I wouldn't have a clue where to start!!

This week I have UU ....

Avon Spring sensation shower gel, WNBA, nice enough fruity smell but they have stopped making it and I have 40 other shower gels to get through!

Avon Liiv botanicals day moisturiser, they have also stopped selling this so I can't buy again, but had nothing against it.

Avon Glycerine Xmas hand cream, just the normal hand cream in a christmassy patterned tube!! WBA because Avon always has bargains

No 7 Revitalising eye gel, such a LHJ, I have been using this for at least 5 years , it was so old it didn't have one of those symbols on the back that tells you how long you should keep using it for! Needless to say I WNBA. I should get through eye creams a little quicker now because its only in the last year that I have noticed that the skin round my eyes looks dehydrated.

In total, 8 UU for July and 7 Ins.
Must try to buy nothing in August!!!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins

Final UU to report for July

MOP Lemongrass shampoo. WIBA? No, didn't think it did much for my hair.

MOP Lemongrass conditioner. WIBA? Definately not, it left my hair in tangles!

Stella McCartney body lotion. WIBA? Yes, it's lovely.

Liz Earle Moisturiser. WIBA? Probably not, just using up old bits.

St Ives facial scrub. WIBA? No, it's too scratchy!

Essential Care coconut cleanser. WIBA? Definately, it's one of my favourites!
Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN

    Hi all,
Last post for July, have been super naughty!
Succumbed to Poundland bargains...3x Nivea lipbalms which are the lovely rose and hydrocare ones, with spf for my work, and a tube of Nivea soft cream.. all for £4. Sometimes I can't help myself.
Also got the free bs scrub with the telegraph, got a coconut one to try, appears to be thicker in consistency than the wild cherry one. Also wanted to get the free bb with todays paper, but alas no telegraphs left in Tesco by the time I got back from work. Probably a good thing really....

    So July...26 UU/outs and 19! Ins.
Net total of 7 for the month.
Need to do a lot better in August!!!

My final July UU Poundland Body lishuss! 200ml Coconut Body Butter that was a gift from a mate. WIBA? Yes, can't wait to try the rest of their range. OK, it may not be ethically traded, but it is a gorgeous smelling product, does have cocoa butter and coconut oil in it, and it's hard to spot the difference with a BS product tbh.

So... an IN. Not Poundland BB, but two M&S 200 ml BB's (2 for £7.50 on sale as against £6 each). A Pomegranate - I was given one earlier this year - and a summery Lime and Bergamot Body Butter.
See you over in August! Thanks Mingle!

Alton Towers was lovely thanks ladies :) got my scaredy-cat of a sister2 to go on not one, but three (!!) rides with me: Oblivion, Nemesis & Air. The others in my family refused to go on any :p In the end to save queuing I bought my sister and me fasttrack tickets for £10 each. We used Merlin passes to get in (bought last year for £75 each)) so didn't mind spending the £20 to speed us up to maximise time with parents and sister1's family.

An IN (it arrived today but requested in July so going to be cheeky :p)
    Boots trial face powder/highlighter

Running out of space on me to test stuff :rotfl::rotfl:

We were at Alton Towers last Thursday as well Sawan. Took my daughter and two of her friends for my daughter's birthday. We (MrM and I) rode all the headliner rides with them (although I don't really like Oblivion). Did you get on 13? I really enjoyed this and rode it 3 times - thought it was really good fun. However when it got to 4.00pm and we had ridden Hex I was burnt out and let the girls go off on their own so that I could have a cold beer and a nap under the trees. Doesn't bode well for Walt Disney World in October does it?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
