Hon, you are right it is no excuse, I can't afford to be going to theme parks with my kids for the next six weeks but we fill our time doing all sorts of different low cost things. My 7 year old DD went on a school trip a couple of weeks ago to the seaside, there are 21 children in her class and 7 of them had never been to the seaside. Nobody could believe it, it's only just over an hour to Blackpool from here and 2 hours to Scarborough with regular bus services. The teachers were really emotional when they got there and the kids were so excited on the beach.

I bet those teachers were emotional. As it happens, I was raised very near the coast, so seaside trips were a regular thing - but my Mum had very little spare cash, so it was just day trips.
For some parents, they are so tied up just making it through each day that taking children to the seaside doesn't really register on the radar. But for others, who could, but who actively choose not to ...
My Dad was a Latvian farm boy who first saw the sea when he was sent to boarding school aged 12 - when I was told this when I was quite young, I thought it showed how different things were back in the Thirties. I was wrong. :(

Nowt much to add on topic other than I won't be bothering with the Batiste puffer again, despite hating to use aerosols. It's nowhere near as good as the spray.

    Hi Ladies,

EH, Sawan & Sarah, thanks for the birthday wishes! And welcome to AvaBelle

Sarah - what a shame about your shampoo. It really annoys me when the postie tries to push things through the letterbox.

Having said that we have been to harrogate today and had afternoon tea in Betty's, this is lovely treat that we haven't done since the last 6 weeks holidays.

vivh - that is so sad tho think that some kids have never been to the seaside when it's so close. That's one of the things I miss most about living in Switzerland. Looking out at the sea is so theraputic. I recently spent a day in Brighton and just loved experiencing the roar of the waves, the sea air & blustery wind, oh yes, and the fish 'n' chips  (huh, that icon says "drool" although it looks more like he's being sick?!). I once went to Betty's in York, great stuff.

Back on topic, I've cut open my Liz Earle body scrub, one application left.

    Have a good weekend :)

No UU's to report today ladies, but did go a bit mad in Mr S's today. They have Sanex on offer plus I had MOC's to use so bought 4 x shower gels, plus 2 more deodarants to add to my stash.

On the plus side, off shopping tomorrow into town so planning on starting xmas shopping so will be using my boots coupons that I have stashed away to pay for this though.

Oh, I can't remember who does this, but have stolen the idea of putting away £1 into a sealed tin everytime I use up something, so £2 added today for this week's UU's.

Hope everyone has a great weekend x

    Morning all

I'm posting this on my Blackberry cos stupid BT have cancelled my internet 2weeks early :( so not been able to read thread as screen is too small.

Yesterday I received my 2 FB swapsies parcels arrived :) so 3 INS in total:

1 x BS Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub
1 x BS Pink Grapefruit Body Butter
1 x Boots Milk And Pitstacio Body Butter

All of which will be lovingly used by me :) I know I've banged on about the swapsies group before but it's sooooo good! I've gotten rid of bits and pieces that I would never use for things that I will ;)

Also yesterday I bought some scrubby gloves.

One final UU for July - 1 x sachet of Montagne Jeaunesse Fine Line Overnight Face Mask. Still got one more sachet to use before the big move in a week's time.

That should be all my INs and OUTs and UUs for the month, I do have 2 things on Ebay but don't think they will sell so will keep them in stash as I will use them. I've had a pretty good month I think :)

Have a fab weekend ladies, I'll be back online properly from Tues so will be back then

    Xx

    Morning!

Sorry nothing related to add - apart from Im going to soon jump in the shower so Ill be using my shower gel and shampoo :p...

went out with work last night, god am I feeling it this morning - woke up on the sofa with no idea how I got there, havent even spoken to OH since thursday night (he was asleep when I left for work yesterday and as far as I remember Ive not seen him since - he's still in bed now)
I have to admit Im still feeling pretty smashed, not really sure I slept it off, not even sure what time I got home - Im thinking it was past 2 :/ yeeeeeesk
I left the house Friday morning at 7.40am, had a bowl of soup for lunch and then went out straight from work - my dinner was a packet of cheese and onion crisps in a pub and that was it :#

On work notes as I mentioned the other day about being accused of doing things wrong, said person is still lying about me to other staff members as I overheard him talking about me yesterday. He went out with us last night and I can not possibly explain how much I wanted to say something - but of course I couldnt grrr

    *passing Charlie Alka-Seltzer*...

That was really coherent if you are still drunk, Charlie, I'm impressed. Not with the being drunk, but with the communication.

One small UU and it was mostly my son, I think - my 100 ml Mitchum Unperfumed roll on. I'll have to steer clear of the unperfumed one and stick to the women's one. As I don't buy anything else the WIBA is academic! But there is a new variant out that I've got, to use.
