Hi everyone. A couple of UUs to report.

After posting yesterday about the TBS Lemon and Thyme shower gel decided to dig it back out of the cabinet. This isn't the UU but it's the body lotion I used afterwards : TBS Sweet Lemon body lotion. WNBA. I don't think that TBS do zesty enough for me! I much prefer the fragrance of Soap and Glory Spa body scrub and L'Occitane Verbena shower gels and lotions.

Other UU: small tube of Elemis Neck and Bust cream. Have another of these but am saving it for hols. Will try the TBS serum I've recently bought next.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Fingers firmly crossed that when you read this you will have had a much better day, Charlie. Big hug.
I don't paint my nails, but if I did, I would love to try xoxo's method. Reminds me of when I used to do marbling with the kids I childminded, many years ago.
A sort of UU - I decanted the remaining 50 ml of my 500ml Tesco Frequent Use Herbal Shampoo for normal/greasy hair into a wee bottle kept for decants. WIBA? Well, I've got nothing against it, it was a perfectly decent shampoo. But 500ml is a lot of product. Great for big families or someone who doesn't mind using the same thing for a six month stretch. I must have had this for at least 3 years.

    A more definite UU
    - A 250ml Superdrug colour protection conditioner for brunettes (csn't remember exact name!). This was one I got in Spring with my £3 voucher. WIBA? Yes, smashing product that was great value for money. I'm not sure if it's still available in quite the same format. It is so similar to the intensive conditioner in the same range that I wouldn't buy that again - it looks as if it's the same product, tbh. It left my fine, short hair soft and glossy.
Now ..confessions time. An IN. I had intended not buying shampoo this year, but I was so impressed by the Pantene Aqua Light shampoo and conditioner that I got as a freebie in minis (not many were, I know) that when I saw it for £1.48 each in Wilko's I succumbed. I still haven't spent much more than a tenner on toiletries this year - many bits and pieces were got with vouchers. I think I would have run out of shampoo in late September anyway - I have applied for quite a few freebies but they haven't arrived.

Have a good day everyone ... hugs to those who need.

  • mini toiletries list! Just the stuff at my Dad's. And to think i didn't make a list because I thought I didn't have enough to bother :o
    There's a lack of shampoo/conditioner! That's because I don't have any here, I've been borrowing my brothers!

I'm printing 1 or 2 for OHs parents too. Not sure whether to print some for his aunties. They're quite a close family and I always get cards/presents from his aunties but not sure if it seems odd to send them pics. Maybe i should print some small ones of me & OH.

Wow a HIWTK shower gel? Was that a forum item?
I love the raspberry ripple shower gel, smells better than the regular raspberry one for some reason, or maybe it's my imagination...

Just read about the Lloyds Pharmacy buy one get two free in Martin's email... I was tempted, then remembered Celebrate's 10+ boxes!!

The thought of adding to my stash now worries me  I will go and have a little nosey though... ;)

    ETA
Kaz, you like Alberto Balsalm shampoo right? Just saw this at Lloyd's:
Alberto Balsam® Tea Tree Tingle Herbal Shampoo 400ml
    Now £0.27 Was £1.07
Mix n Match Add 3 to the basket only pay for 1

There's obviously others, but I know a few on here prefer tea tree shampoos. No idea what it's like personally. Went to link it, but page has disappeared.. :s will keep this amendment to my post in case it comes back.

Edited again!! When I initially went to the B1G2f page, there were 231 items. Now there's 33. In the space of 5 minutes. Everybody else obviously got the email the same time as me :rotfl:

Have uu a FCUK polished body spray today, i have another of these in the stash, I really like the pump body sprays because all the product goes on your skin and smells stronger, whereas aerosols go all over the room aswell.

Also have finished a tube of Johnsons baby moisturising cream, have another of these in the stash, I like to have one in for family use and for £1 or so you can't go too far wrong.

Was looking through my stash for a tube of foot cream and came across my unopened bottle of S&G clean on me, this is the one from the christmas tote bag and it has gone curdled and discoloured. It has been in a cupboard and never been opened, also it says use within 24 months of opening. Have now opened it and it smells the same but still it shouldn't look like that. Does anyone else still have theirs from the tote bag?

    Afternoon Lovelies!

Been quiet on the posting front again this month however I am just back from holiday and work has been crazy! I have been reading all your news though - hugs to everyone who needs one!

I am rubbish at remembering who has posted what however I am delighted that whoever bought the Babyliss Big Hair Spinning Brush was glad they had. I think it was me that was waxing lyrical about it.

So some UUs and INs to report! I have been a bit lazy with updating my Stash list so will need to get on top of that - having the full horrors of my addiction laid bare in front of me was quite often the incentive I needed to stop buying that new mascara/moisturiser/lipstick etc. Anyway!

    UUs

Clarins Eau Dynamisante (red bottle) Perfume and Body Lotion - these had been opened for AGES and were being kept for a special occasion. Under PRCP (I love this way of thinking), I used these everyday and thoroughly enjoyed it. WIBA? Well, I used to love the smell of this however now I much prefer the Clarins Eau Ressourcante (blue bottle) so will probably stick to that in future. All of the Clarins scents seem to last so long on my skin so definitely good value for money in my opinion.

Elizabeth Arden Provocative Perfume (mini) - used this up on holiday. The scent was nice enough although didn't really last that long so probably WNBA.

Carmex Original Lip Balm – absolutely WBA as this is my HG of lip balms. I’m often tempted by new versions of lipbalms on the market but I always come back to this. I also like the Blistex Medicated lip balm if I feel a coldsore coming on.

Botanics Bath Float – I had this in my stash for ages and to be honest, I was really disappointed with it. The scent was too citrus for my liking and it didn’t seem to lather up that well. WNBA.

Sure Crystal Clear Aqua Roll On – This was on offer when I bought it and it was all right, nothing more. Have gone back to my HG of Sanex Invisible Deodorant so probably WNBA.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner – This was also on offer when I bought it and it was pretty good but I suppose it’s quite expensive for what it is. It also irritated me that the conditioner was slightly smaller in size than the shampoo as I use both in equal measures.

L’Oreal Elnette Supreme Hold Hairspray (handbag size) – Used up on holiday and absolutely WBA although there is no need for a while as I have a full sized one on the go and one in the stash. This is a HG product for me.

    INs

VO5 Nourish Me Truly Shampoo and Conditioner x 2 – I needed to buy shampoo and conditioner as I had none in stash and this was on an introductory offer. I am using one set just now and I just love it – my hair feels soft, looks shiny and smells amazing – so I went straight back out and bought another set while it was still on offer.

VO5 Treat Me Right Intensive Hair Mask – Again, I had bought one of these to try and loved it so much that I bought another one while I was buying the shampoo and conditioner. I try and use this once a week and it really makes a difference to the condition of my hair.

Impulse Bodysprays x 4 – These were on offer at Tesco and I get through them at some rate so don’t feel bad about stocking up when I do see a deal. They were reduced to £1 which is nearly half price so worth getting a few.

Tesco Skin Wisdom Purifying Masks x 3 – My skin has really started playing up since my holiday which I’m blaming on my factor 30 sunscreen so I bought these in the hope that they would unblock the pores.

I probably have forgotten a few other UUs / INs but, on the whole, I have been pretty good. In fact, I didn't even buy any new perfume at duty free! I thought about all the bottles of half used stuff that were still sitting on my dresser and thought "NO! UU what you have first! And then you can tell the girlies about how strong you were". And now I have!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

    xx

The one from my tote bag hasn't been opened, and from what I remember last time I looked (about a week ago) it looks fine. Maybe you should drop them an email to ask if that's normal (and hopefully receive a replacement) as I don't think it is.

INs (the ones I know from the top of my head)
Boots trial Hand Lotion (foc) - liking it so far in use, love the scent
Boots trial lipstick (foc) - received this today. Nice natural rosey colour - hopefully will suit me. I don't usually wear lipstick - though you wouldn't believe it from the number I own!
Bourjois Chip Resistant polish (39AED = £6.47) - no excuse :o except a little free gift wyb 3 items (one was sister's) - I shamefully bought into the hype of lasting polish (which it hasn't really so far - but no top coat used)
Bourjois Duochrome pencil pink/purple (34AED = £5.64) - this I bought intentionally as you can't buy the full colour range over here. I love the two-tone effect of these pencils so had to buy it. I resisted one of the colours that I know I wouldn't wear much, and one that's similar to one I have.
Mikyaji eyeshadow palette (169 AED = £28 = too much!) - again, wanted this for a while. Sister2 bought one on a trip to Oman, and was amazed by how pigmented the colours are, so it was heavily recommended to me ;) This brand do some really nice prodcuts, it was very, very difficult for me to resist the eyeliners (my weakness after nail varnish (only because generally fewer colours available))
Oral-B ProExpert Toothpaste (£3.98 for 3) - needed as on last tube of Sensodyne. Heard a lot about this toothpaste and so bought it on 342 from MrB
Cotton Wool Double Faced Pads (2 for £2.50) - needed as was totally out.

I think that's it. So total unnecessary spend: £40.11 :eek:
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
