Hi everyone. I'm catching up after my weekend away in Kendal which would have been great had I not been suffering with a cold. I'm pretty sure it's a cold and not hay fever anyway as I found myself having to dose up on paracetamol every four hours so don't think it's hay fever. Anyone know the difference? I was aching and have now been left with a cough. Am off work again today but plan on going in tomorrow as I should feel better by then.

Ladies - I have some news to share with you!

Some of you may remember me talking about OH and another colleague were both on a fixed contract at his job and it was due to expire next month, and only one of them was going to be renewed.
Well today his boss had a meeting with him and gave him a letter offering the permanent role, a promotion and a payrise......Im so proud of him. Bless him though he says he doesn't feel like he can celebrate though because he feels bad for the other person.

Just need me to be made an official employee now where Im working and we'll be laughing...

Hope everyone else is well - Im off to catch up with the thread

Fab news Charlie. Have you heard anymore from the place you are temping at. I had an interview with a recruitment agency last Monday but so far have heard nothing further from her even though she was meant to be putting my name forward for a job I'd applied for. To be honest have been feeling so carp that I'm not that bothered that I haven't heard.

No, I wasn't impressed by these sachets and gave up on them.
Thank you everyone r.e. the comments about my hair. :D

One of my friends swears by Lush products. I've never bought them myself. I find the shop so overpowering with all the different smells.:o

Me too. Have succumbed and bought products from Lush in the past (only on occasions when Emma has been with me and she's chosen something (so I've only probably ever tried the bath bars)) but have not been won over by them. It's the containment of them in plastic wrapping that puts me off.

I am pleased to say hubby got that job and starts tomorrow. It think the hours only equate to part time and it's minimum wage but it all helps. Also had my first scan on Saturday which was really weird seeing this baby but don't actually feel pregnant at the moment. Been quite fortunate that the only sympton I've really had was tiredness. Have missed out on the morning sickness and may it long continue (fingers crossed).

On topic, threw out a massage lotion on Sunday which I was going to finish using up as a body lotion but when it came to it realised I probably wouldn't use it so thought I'd just bin it.

Hope everyone's enjoying the sun today, just a shame I'm in work :(

Congratulations to you and your husband lynseydee re: his job and your baby. Keep well x

Belated birthday wishes to EH and Alton towers - will be visiting your namesake on Thursday - can't wait. Hope this dratted cold has gone by then though.

I have an IN and a UU to declare: IN is only a bottle of Batiste as we had used up all of our last one. Got it for £1.49 from bodycare so pleased with that.

UU : small bottle of No. 7 cleansing balm. Not sure I would purchase this (think it came in a GWP originally). Not sure I finished it all but couldn't be bothered bringing it home from Kendal.

Have painted my nails today and am wearing OPI Lunch at the Delhi. Took Emma to a salon in Kendal and she had a manicure with nail art. Wished I'd had mine done now as well cos they look fab and the technicians were using OPI.

I have a UU :D! TBS Lemon and Thyme shower gel. The natural one. WIBA?: Smelled nice. I only used this a couple of times but both times I used it and when I used it on the littlies, it came out of the bottle really fast so you were unable to control the amount you were getting. That said, considering what a skinny bottle it is, it did last at least a month I'm sure. It's very expensive for a shower gel and it doesn't seem to be on their website any more so I couldn't even if I wanted to! It was ok as part of the bundle though.

I have this one too but am not very impressed with it as I don't think it has much fragrance.

    Oh I want to cry....

Today has been an absolute hell of day....litterally unbelievable :(

Got into loads of trouble at work.....yesterday had to do something for one of the firms bigwigs which apparently Id c*cked up bigstyle - which in reallity I hadn't at all. Had to have a meeting with my manager about it, he said he beleived me but had to check my story with the other person I was with, so he had to have a meeting with my manager too - he told them exactly what I did but apparently Mr bigwig said it was still unacceptable and basically Im a liar etc....so yep Im getting the blame for something which (isnt even serious but its made out to be this huge big deal) happened before the file even came to our office - you know because thats tottally my fault!

Also got critised for spelling a name wrong on the same file - which actually I didn't, it was wrong in the file already and then it had been corrected - so I used the correction not the wrong one....

Something tells me this is going to be a nightmare for some while....

To make matters worse, Im sure a lot of you heard about the M4 fire today, caused mayhem around Newport, loads of staff never even made it in...Anyway after todays nightmare the only thing I wanted to do was get home - massive queue because of that, then at one of the big roundabouts a motorcyclist got knocked off thier bike right in front of us, then came 2 police cars, a police van and 4 paramedics - started trying to resus the motorcyclist..... Freaking nightmare!

Finally just made it through the front door to be greeted by OH telling me hes now got a second interview in London....I could cry

Busy couple of weeks. I'm visiting 'home' (my Dad's) at the moment. I keep trying to have a clear out of my stuff here but it never happens properly because I'm rarely here. I guess for some reason I thought I'd end up living here again and would have plenty of time to sort it out so it never felt like I needed to do much.

Charlie, that sounds awful. Sounds like bigwig's having a bad day and wants someone to shout at tbh!
The stuff on the motorway sounds even worse :( Hope you get good news to cheer yourself up with soon. Though your OH getting a promotion sounds good.
Thanks for the heads up on aussie being cheap in bodycare!

Thanks for the advice on my predicament ladies, especially Sawan - sorry for interrupting your holiday and I hope you had an amazing time. Love the photos.
Also I was shocked at the thought of someone living in a crane to build the burj. I can imagine it happening but

I've provisionally booked a start date for september. I applied for lots of jobs near where we live but nothing's come back positively. I found a really similar job to the one I've been offered (same work, same industry, same salary) but in our city and i was happy until i read they wanted 3+ years experience! It's in software programming, btw. So there are quite a lot of jobs like it but not many for people like me with no experience. I like the sound of the job but I still feel :( at moving.

Overall I feel it's a much better option and more likely to open future doors than staying here and risking being unemployed. Technically I'm unemployed now but I'm still treating it as uni holidays until sept as my loan/this years earnings will last until sept.

And to finish off... here's accessorize 'pink spice' It's pretty!
