Great news about Little Dog Sarah.
Hope you are having a nice holiday sawan. What a fab view from your hotel.
Bev - I had a look at the article. I think it is great that more and more articles like this are being published. I know that since joining this challenge my attitude to premium brands has shifted dramaticaly and the wealth of expertise on here has really helped me. In fact it is also helping my friends, family and even work collegues who love to hear reviews of products and reccommendations.
On Sunday I was in town and popped into TK Maxx with a friend and bought the 750ml sizes of Tigi Superstar shampoo and conditioner. I also seen a Clarins lipstick in a lovely colour for £9.99 which my pal has bought me as part of my birthday prezzie :j. I am really delighted as we are heading down to London for my birthday in two weeks time and my pal is also springing for a show too.
No UU's - this is a slow month. I am going to pack up my toiletry bag with minitures for my holiday that hopefully I will UU.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
Bev - thanks for posting the link to the £10 beauty buys, it was really interesting.
Sarah - glad your pooch is on the road to recovery, you must be very relieved.
Threw something else out today, am on a roll in the spirit of PRCP, today it was the Avon clear pore thermal mask, have only used it 3 times but it is like chewing gum and doesn't heat up much either. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Great news about little dog sarahh - hopefully things will settle down now...
Red is ok thanks EH - shes still got the lump on her hindquarters, but until shes comfortable after the abcess (which she seems to be) we wont know if the lump is anything to worry about or not. Im sure its probably not, but shes on anti-inflammatories at the moment, and shes still got it - so who knows. shes to have her last one tomorrow, so by friday night we will know if shes comfortable or not with it...
no UU on the cards for me I dont think, but Im hoping to have a huge "pamper" session tonight - might even dye my hair again if I can get my bum in gear to get going....Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
mcculloch29 wrote: »Yes Bev, did look at the link! Some useful hints, though I was disappointed not to find any Aldi Lacura products in the list - particularly the serums. Sali is a good writer isn't she?
Just a thought, if you like eucalyptus have you thought of adding eucalyptus oil to products to get that scent? Wilko's do tea-tree, lavender and eucalyptus essential oils in 10 mls very cheaply.
I looovveee the Lacura Concealer pen, just like the touche eclat pen but at about 1/10th of the price!!
I personally use it as foundation as it is the only one I can find that matches my skin tone! Being very pale means most foundations (even the Pale Ivory ones) just make me look orange.rosemary54 wrote: »just got a freebie to trial....balm tissues not very exciting...................altho DH did say "we will have to have lots of s*x then to use them":j

Bev - thanks for posting the link - I agree with the inclusion of Nice 'n Easy Root Touch-Up, a great product.
I've just realised that I haven't announced that I'm in this month, even though I've posted a few times, so here goes:
Please count me in for this month!
I've had an email from the Body Shop, giving me a £12 off voucher when I spend £20 in store up to 17 July. Naughty BS for putting temptation my way. You can use the 10% Love your body discount on the balance, so I could get £20 worth of stuff for £7.20. Has anyone else had the email?
I also have to confess to buying 2 more tubes of Arm and Hammer sensitive toothpaste. They were on offer in Morrisons for £1.50 each. Although I can get them cheaper from Poundland, these ones had offers on the boxes to get a free Spinbrush Sonic Battery Toothbrush with proof of 4 purchases. The M-I-L had already given us codes from 2 boxes to use and so by just spending £1 more than I usually do for 2 toothpastes I've been able to order one of the toothbrushes.0 -
 Where is my email?
I think I might have a serious problem haha...0 -

I always felt I let him down. Mind you injecting him would not have been fun - the chief nickname of his many nicknames was Thuglet...
The good thing about dogs is they can't feel it when you inject them - we jab LD when he's eating and he doesn't even look up
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes for LD - he's my little angel and I want to keep him happy and as healthy as possible for a long time yetWas wondering what makes a HG product for all you ladies? For me first off is the fragrance. If I dislike the smell of a product I can't get past this - whether it's effective or not. Next is the texture - has to feel right yes? If these two boxes are ticked I think about value and even then I'll try and find something more cost effective - the Weleda cleanser is an example of this. :money:
Exactly same for me - smell, texture and price - I do try not to sample stuff I won't be able to afford in case I love it too much :rotfl:Would worry it smells of mud and sweat in that case :rotfl: do let us know, won't you:rotfl::eek:.
:rotfl::rotfl: That was my thought - will be using it tomorrow so will let you know :rotfl:
Trudji - will keep fingers crossed all is OK for Red :A
footymadgal - mmmm - can't decide if I really want to get that BS email or not :rotfl:
Had a lovely day with OH - very relaxing - didn't get to the flicks - far too full and tired after lunch so we are going tomorrow instead0 -
evening all
