run your receipt through their Pricechecker?. That way you can be sure you are buying it at the better prices if you had gone to another supermarket when they refund the difference??.

    Just a thought, any good?

the 4 pack of Princes tuna is £4 in Asda so yes, it should work on the price checker for you to get £2.99 back.

The only Princes tuna I see with this offer is a pack of 4 priced at £6.99...

yet the Tesco page (http://www.tesco.com/petrol-promotion/ ) says "Buy a tin of Princes Tuna" not 4 tins as they are now suggesting! To me "buy a tin" suggest just that, one tin. They should say buy a pack of 4 tins if that's what you have to do.

    Typical Tesco ****-up again!

  • To buy tuna to get 5p off a litre makes you nothing unless you want the tuna (which normally goes on bogof every other month) Its £6.99 at tesco and only £4 at asda. to get your £7 you will have to fill up with 140 litres which would be one big fuel tank ...

Surely the important bit of news here is that you can use 3 x 5p off coupons (from £50 spends) in one tanking.

Needs proving but that's what the T&Cs say.

Not sure it needs proving - it's as clear as day. The tuna and coke are a waste of time, but the weekly shop is always £50+ anyway, and it is definitely useful. Each time this 5p off thing comes round, I'm always left with spare ones I can't use, as I don't get through that much petrol before the vouchers expire. Not a problem now...

Well, what do you expect - this is B***** Tesco we're dealing with and they are absolute gems at putting on misleading offers. Looks to me that this is just another case of not knowing their a*** from their elbow.

Honestly, I can't believe the way Tesco manage to mess things up with such monotonous regularity - very little is ever mentioned about other supermarkets doing daft things. Either Tesco employ a very high number of monkeys or other supermarkets just manage to hide their errors better.
