As a tesco employee i resent being called a monkey, all companies mess up or confuse the public with their offers but the people who do the offers are those at the top ,we cashiers are not involved with any offers and cannot do anything to help the customer ,please remember at the end of a shift we are treated the same as you genral public not monkies:(

Where did I suggest that the cashiers are monkeys? I have come across far more pleasant and helpful cashiers and general staff than those that are often referred to on here as 'trouts' and my post was certainly not aimed at staff fairly low down on the food chain!

I simply commented that either Tesco employ a higher percentage of monkeys than other supermarkets or others are better at hiding their errors! Its very obvious that Tesco appear to make FAR more pricings errors and general c**k ups with their various promotions and it does seem that the calibre of the staff who deal with these promotions is suspect. Hells Teeth - the staff that handled the XBox fiasco several years back - and also those that implemented the DTD Price Check - couldn't have had much in the way of brains if they couldn't see that it was all going to go **** up? And what about the famous Ham Joint carry on a while back - first they charged the reduction bit rather than the balance so you paid £5 for a huge joint , then they took off the reduction (but still left the initial error on so you paid NOTHING!), then they reduced the price after Christmas to clear the stock - but left the pricing error in place so you were paid to take it away!

The list is endless and, apart from last weeks Sainsbury Meal Deal glitch (which they corrected very quickly), pricing glitches do seem to be few and far between with other supermarkets.

They have to be the four pack, not single tins.

    Who says they are not?

Tesco office, and therefore the customer service senior manager should have let the petrol station manager know, they should also get a separate email from head office with the full brief on. Then all staff should be briefed of the offer and the conditions.

    Is that enough information.

If they do accept multiple vouchers then head office will not refund the money to the store and it will hit the store as a cash loss which can lead to disciplinary action for which every member of staff accepted the vouchers or whoever didn't inform the member of staff of the policy.

So has anyone tried 2 or more of the normal 5p till spits in one petrol transaction? I'm fairly sure I'll be on my 3rd till spit by the end of the week as well as needing fuel so hoping someone will have tried by then!

this is as usual as clear as mud, what point seems to be missed maybe is that Tesco are not doing this to "save us" money, Tuna, over priced usually BOGOF when most people normally buy real saving???

coke £10 for 30 cans (33.3p a tin), if you are into buying that much in cans at a time then morrisons are 2 x30 for £15 (25p a tin) , then take the £5 you saved there and use it towards your petrol ( yes tesco would be of equivalent value for putting 100 litres ie £135 of fuel in the car or 2 lots of 50 litres if you bought 2 lots at tesco)

or it you have to go to Tesco buy 2 x 12 pack at tesco, if you want to use it towards you £50 spend for £7 (29.1p a can)that alone is a saving IN tesco of 4.2 p a can the price of the 30 box

yes if you are going to spend £50 anyway then ok thats fine but the others just fooling people into thinking they are making money from mr T
