Tiscali are the worst company i have ever dealt with in terms of performance and customer service. I have been with them for around 14days on their 1mb service. However this actually equates to 482kbps and they are not bothered about helping you. I have argued and argued and finally demanded that the contract be ended. They argued back saying i would have to pay the full 12mths contract . I refused and eventually they cancelled the contract. however they are saying that it will take 10 - 15 days to release the line. Does anybody know away of getting this done faster.

The customer service number is 08450774488

Hope it helps though i would cancel the contract if i were you. They say you have 14 days from when you order it aslong as your not connected. Just argue that as you have not recieved your modem etc you no longer require the service

    Hope it helps

Used them for a year or so, quite reasonable. They started giving new customers better deals than me, so I left them. Did'nt I do well !!!!!!!!!!!!

Been with tiscali for about 9 months now and no problems at all -- reported a problem with my connection - bb engineer out the next day - new modem etc sent through just in case - no hassles.

Was paying £24.99 for the package but have recently upgraded via their web site to the same package for £17.99 a month -- ok so they could have told us we could get it cheaper but i'm more than satisfied with the level of service compared to wannadoo/freeserve that we were with.

I've been with Tiscali for nearly 2 years, they said they were offering a free upgrade on my Broadband package from 512 to 1mb (ha, free, they'd already dropped their prices and therefore had been overcharging me for the past 10 months!!) I said I didn't want it upgraded and would rather pay less, which they have conveniently ignored.

And now they've capped their 'unlimited' broadband access so that my upstream connection runs the same as a poor dial up service.

Tiscali are ok if you don't get problems, unfortunately they are uncommunicative, expensive to telephone, unresponsive to customer service emails, unreliable in their connection, and not opposed to telling outright lies.

Now I'm trying to get off the service, which won't be easy because they block your line from new ISP for ages, that's if they acknowledge your cancellation request in the first place.

In summary Run, Run fast and in the opposite direction.

These are not isolated incidents by any means, have a look at the link below

Okay, rant over. Good luck to anyone who recently signed up, I hope you don't have problems

    For what it`s worth...!

I have been a B/Bnd engineer for approx 5 years now.
People report a B/Bnd problem to their SP`s....If the SP takes them seriously they then initiate a response from a BT B/Bnd eng....ME.!

By far the most (alledgedly) complained about SP I encounter on my daily duties is without doubt the one mentioned above.

The silly little modems they supply consistantly go down (alledgedly)...!
And the customer service just does not exist (alledgedly).

If I was to sign up for a new B/Bnd contract it would definitly NOT be Tiscali.

Sorry for all the alledgedlys but just doing the right thing...!
