If you've moved in, remove it by all means, but remember it belongs to either the agent or their sign contractor, so you have to keep it for them to collect.

Pester the EA as much as you want to get it removed. As far as I'm concerned, they agreed with the seller whether or not they would put a board up, and now the seller has sold, they have no mandate to have a board on what isn't now the seller's property - it's yours, and they have no contract with you.
  • It's your house. Take it down and tell the agent you're going to dump it unless they collect within 24 hours.

There are rules and regulations regarding for sale signs as I looked them up after I moved in last year.

IIRC it was about 14 or 21 days after the sale when the EA is obliged to remove it, however about 10 days after I moved in I e-mailed them and gave them 7 days to remove it or it was going in the bin. They didn't turn up, it went in the bin. :)

for-sale-board-Bullet.gif The board must be removed not later than 14 days after completion of the sale or granting of the tenancy.
    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

"Standard guidelines" - not quite the law though!

Would be tempted to contact the estate agent and quote them a daily rate for displaying their advertising material on your property.
