It totally depends what you're after. People are saying that they like the cheap Aldi reds because they're mild, or soft. Which is the last thing I'd want in a red. Have to agree about the Toro Loco though - a good, big red

    I've been Money Tipped!
Got a bottle of the Hungarian Merlot today to try, I'll try it tomorrow night.
Forgot about the Toro Loco, I like Tempranillo, Rioja's are based on that grape, the ones I drink anyway.

Someone in front of me was buying several bottles of an Australian wine?? Not to sure what it was and I was afraid to ask.

I really like the Cimarosa Australian Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon from Lidl at £3.99 a bottle. I look out for special offers of 3 for £10 and stock up :)

Its something creek and very nice red and pink.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

It's Badgers Creek a Zinfandel and it is beautiful.

I drink it all the time in fact I prefer it to Jacobs Creek rose.

  • I've tried a £2.99 Rose from Aldi before, and it was really nice.
I mainly drink £3 bottles of wine from Tesco, and this was better.
Problem is, I can't remember the name. :)

I tried the £2.99 English wine, Copper Beech :D I think the Vineyard is linked into the RSPCA dog pound where the dogs pee up against the beech trees and the winery collects the liquid and bottles it :( oh well back to the Lambrini
I had a bottle last night.

It doesnt really have a flavour to me. Its more like sweet water. Not awful as I only paid £2.49.

I do enjoy the Tisamora range at Lidl though, its very nice for sub £4.
  • My local Aldi have had Blossom Hill White Zinfandal in lately at £4.49. It is the signature reserve and has a black label. It is by far the nicest wine I think that I have ever drunk and I cannot find it in any of the major supermarkets by me.

Am currently stocking up for Christmas with it :P
