Approx £3.80 spent since my last post.
I picked up some bits on Friday and Saturday as went to my sisters for a BBQ, but I haven't included these as weren't part of 'my' groceries.
Got some frozen garlic in Asda, a cucumber in Tesco (will count half the price as bought 2 on offer and one was for the BBQ). Plus today I got a watermelon and bottle of balsamic vinegar in Lidl.
I made this to take to the BBQ and it went down very well. I'll definitely make it again as was really tasty.
Got an email from the National Lottery earlier to say i'd won! Ok, it's only £8.60 so I can't quit my job just yet, but better than nothingGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Spwent £46 in aldi this weekend - but £20 was on some new camping mats for our MS holiday! Then £7.55 in asda on stuff I can't get/ don't like in aldi - kids koghurts, pine nuts and a couple of whoopsies. Forgot ice cream but as I am suppossed to be diet thats probably a good thing.
Ate our last bit of the half lamb I bought last autumn so need to buy another once there is room in the freezer - had it done in in the SC with preserved lemons - delish and used up some on the lemons lurking in the back of the cupboard
Grocceries runnign at £71.36 for the month so farPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Good morning all.
I am not too bad this week, although I had overspent during the week. The weekly shop this week cost me €91. I spent €27 in the local F&V shop (including €6 on 6 beef tomatoes - but there's no meat in the dinner that night for 3 adults). €25 in the local butcher (€10 on 10 chicken breasts, a rack of ribs, and €12 of steak for BBQ), €15 in Lidl (bacon pieces, some veg, pizaz, cream, apple juice on special (we drink lots) and pains au chocolat for weekend breakfasts), and €16 in local Mr SV (washing up liquid - needed 1 but on special so got 2 for €3 and saved €1, streaky bacon for pancakes, salt (found own brand for 50c when my usual was almost €2), ham for lunches, cooking apples and mixes for potato wedges).
I also managed to harvest enough potatoes for 2 dinners, and possibly a 3rd (by frying leftovers as "home fries"), cabbage, lettuce for my salads all week, broad beans (1 dinner worth), peas (1-2 DD dinner's worth), spinach (I have enough for 2-3 dinners) and raspberries.
Menu for the week, is not yet finalised (manic week ahead) but a rough idea to work with is:
Sat: BBQ - ribs, steak, baked potatoes (old ones)
Sun: Chicken with broad beans and spinach in a white wine and cream sauce, new potatoes (sounds posh but threw in a dash of this and that into HM chicken stock after poaching chicken)
Mon: Bacon and HG cabbage with new potatoes
Tues: Stuffed tomatoes and mushrooms
Wed: Must think of something nice for DH before he heads off again but something that won't upset his stomach for flying
Thurs: Probably macaroni cheese
Fri: Travelling ourselves - so probably the pizza before we goGC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Morning campers, afraid I didn't do too well this weekend. We went to Gravesend as DH had to buy some new suit trousers and I just couldn't resist getting a few bits and bobs for myself
But in my defence we did kind of need them
Anyway I managed to spend £37.12, which brings my total up to £142.64, yikes!!!
Hugs and love to everyone, hope you are all doing well with your GC's so farMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
