  • ........... oooh just found this on google, Wilton do a gold sparkle icing tube - http://www.cakekraft.co.uk/ingredients/icing-gels/sparkle-gel-gold

I think that might work best, I've never seen anything like it before but it looks like it can be used like writing icing tubes almost I guess :) ahh excited to do these cupcakes as I haven't had a good baking session in months!

Hello ladies :) I always go through and look at your photos so I thought I would share a photo of a cake I made last week for my sons 11th birthday, he wanted lots of layers and lots of chocolate and that is definitely what he got!

  • i have seen princess cakes wherby the 'skirt' is a rounded cake. I dont really want to buy a tin but have been reading on similar cakes made in pyrex bowls but wondered if they would burn on the outside before the centre is cooked and dry out. has anyone done the bowl cake?was it ok?

    Hi Ladies

Not as busy as usual on here lately :p I am planning to make some decorations for my xmas cake am thinking of buying these:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAEDTLER-ICING-CHOCOLATE-SUGARPASTE-CLAY-PUSH-MOULD-/180729062533?pt=UK_Kitchen_Accessories&var=&hash=item2a144aa485

Do you think I would be better off using florists paste instead of sugar paste as it will be a bit firmer so easier to remove
    TIA

Never use liquid food colouring with fondant icing - you end up adding too much liquid to it which alters its composition. You want paste colour. It's about £2.50 a pot and you use a tiny tiny bit.

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

if i wanted red i would buy it, i hate trying to get bold colours, its too hard. I always buy reds , blacks , bold blues its much easier.

    costs a little more though
