My parents came to visit for Father's Day, and we got stuck into the coffee & walnut cake after a lunch out - I think my Dad appreciated the addition of a glug or two of whiskey :D although the walnuts are rather lost, even though I used a 200g bag!

As you can see, I have been concentrating on the light and fluffy factor rather than the decor:

I might have got the texture and extracting from the bundt tin right at long last, but I've just realised that I've programmed the wrong month into the camera lol....

    Amazing bindi! :T

Can you share your eggless cake recipe, and crucially, is it light and fluffy, or is it a dense mixure?

Thanks! It was a madeira and it was as light as air, even though I fed it with coffee syrup and whisky afterwards. All packed up and gone back home with my parents now - they know how to control themselves around cake, unfortunately I don't :o.

Hi i was just wondering if you recommend 'my cake decorating' magazine? I'm new to cake decorating and thought the magazine would be great to help build my knowledge and tools! but was wondering if it is a good magazibe or not!
I love all of your cakes and am gonna try to make one with chocolate fingers round and malteasers on top (i saw one on here and just couldn't stop thinking about it!). Hope it's ok it i borrow the idea, its only for family.
