Keeping Motivated - it's one of the easiest cakes I've made! I used this recipe for the cake, filled it and covered it with chocolate buttercream then stuck on cadbury's chocolate fingers round the side and maltesers on top! I used florist wire with maltesers on the top for the decoration and tied a bit ribbon round. Voila! x0

Well have piped 72 red cupcakes and 68 blue ones, just finishing baking another 36 and will have 80 to pipe white tomorrow. My fridge is absolutely chocca and even had to take the meat drawer out just to fit the blue an red ones in! The street party isn't until 3 so have plenty of time to pie t white ones. I timed myself and I piped th 68 blue ones in 25 mins so I reckon an hour to make up the icing and pipe them. I had an ingenious idea today and cut the top off a lemonade bottle to stand my piping bag in whilst filling and if I needed to put it down. I'd tried with jugs before but because I use such large bags they were never big enough so it was perfect!0

Impossible to get spares like replacement blades any more though so I can grate, slice, julienne and chip with it but not make a big batch of pastry anymore. :-(
I'd just keep an eye out on eBay you get parts for the really old kenwood chiefs etc on there you may get lucky0 -

I think I've only made them once a long time a go. I would have a look on bbc good food, I get the majority of recipes from there and not had a bad one yet! How lovely scones for afternoon tea! I live near a village that has a small shop sellin homemade jams, pickles and marmalade called the picked village. She does sell through waitrose as well now but has made a nice one for the jubilee with blueberry, strawberry ,pear and elderflower!0
