Do I have the right to cancel my Virgin Mobile contract due to the upcoming changes?

Ok, so the t&cs state that I can cancel my contract free of charge if I do not agree to any changes that they make. However I have just read somewher that says these changes are not included in this?

I dont see how.

One of the changes is the web usage price. Normally 30p per day, this will increase to 50p. I am a frequent user of the web therefore this will be of great material detriment to me.

Ofcom regulations state that if it is likely to be of material detriment to me then I have the right to cancel.

I emailed Virgin saying I wanted to cancel my contract due to these reasons. They replied with:

''
Thanks for your email to Virgin Media about your contract. We appreciate you taking the time to write to us.
We're sorry to hear you want to cancel your contract. We do hope that you’ve not been unhappy with our service, if you have please let us know why and we’ll do our best to help.

We've passed your details to our Contracts Team and requested that they contact you in order to take the 1 months notice we need to cancel your contract. They’ll be in touch within the next 3 working days.''

Does this mean they are allowing me?
