  • A mate of mine bought a fake from a ebay seller with over a 1000 feedback, it lasted 2 months and was as slow as dirt.
    You pays for what you get, so don't expect miracles from the fakes.

  • Did you input the item code or just do a search for PSP?

    Item code : B32-SONYPSP = £118.99
    PSP = Q2D-SONYPSP = £129.99

    I just done a search for PSP m8.

    Still cheap enough.
  • hmmm if i go to the normal viking site it's 118.99.. if i go via quidco it's £152 on the home site and £129.99 on the business site.. weird :/

    also.. I'm a bit worried about this firmware thing everone keeps mentioning.. what's the difference in them?

    Well if you want to be able to downgrade the firmware to version 1.5 there is a certain motherboard that it can't be done on. I think this applies to a newer firmware version to. People have said this is the 2.71 which can be downgraded, if it can't then I'll be sending mine back.
    Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

    You can emulate firmwares to run homebrew with the homebrew enabler (HEN) and devhook to do the biz with no need to downgrade the firmware and no risk of bricking your new PSP.
    I've ordered one and have these guides handy for when it arrives. :)

    What homebrew will this actually let you play though? Just things like SNES emulators or full blown UMD ones?

    The most important.. ISO's and everything else.
    The TA-082's aren't so bad now. Only a matter of time before a downgrader becomes available too.

    Apparently the Chinese have been knocking these boards out with firmware 1.50 for a few weeks now but no one over here has figured out how they are doing it yet .. wont be long though I'm sure.

    I was starting to get that impression. What a shame it's such an issue for so many buyers (mysef included).
