thanks for the guides, any idea when (assuming orders are accepted) viking will ship? I'm a bit wary about ordering a mem stick until I get the psp.
Also I noticed GAME is selling the logitech psp hard case for £7.99, is this a decent case?ummm...0 -
Hi
I have ordered a psp from viking on 22/12/2006 so should come weds! Got it for £111. thanks op.
Just a quick few questions if anyone can answer them!
1. What is homebrew?
2. Is it easy to do?
You can tell I'm not a techi, cant you. This psp is for my son's birthday in feb, so want to sort any extras out before then.

gameplay have it for £5.99, and according to the net it is one of the best
Viking usually ship with a sameday service (from brum/manchester/london regional centres) or nextday anywhere else. They reopen tommorrow and my order history says it be shipped then.I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.0 -
thanks for that, will probably get that logitech case, although it doesnt directly protect the screen, any other cases that do as well as keep the whole unit protected?ummm...0

Hi Maz
1. Homebrew are just programs that run on the PSP, similar to freeware or shareware on your computer. You need to enable it to run homebrew. Lots available for free, for example, an infrared controller application to let you control multple TV's, DVD players. Also there's a plethora of console emulators, e.g. PS1, Gameboy etc and devhook, so you can load backed up games.
2. If you look at the guides I posted earlier, it's mostly just downloading a few files, extracting them, plugging the PC into the PSP via USB, and copying them to the correct place and running it on the PSP.
If you're not comfortable, ask someone whose PC skills are quite good. In terms of extras you'd need a USB cable and memory. 2GB should do it.

I did buy it at the £129.99 price and added a voucher giving £26.00 Discount before VAT so my total should of been £122.19. Looking on line at my account it shows the discounted value but not their invoice or what they have charger to my CC will be calling them after Christmas.
Just called them, and they have applied the discount, apologised and are refunding my CC the £30 they overcharged.Cheers
