  • Woohooo - Medievil works! That's the only game I have that requires 3.03 firmware (it's a PSX game).

    2007 Comping challenge -> £00.00 <-Typical luck!:mad:
  • I have a number of genuine (purchased) PS1(PSX) games. Is there a simple tool that i can use to convert these for use on the PSP ? Any advice or pointers to the required software would be appreciated.

I am hoping that my memory card will arrive today so that i can start the downgrade/upgrade process over the weekend.

    Thanks.. Del

Firstly, downgrade your PSP to 1.5 firmware using the link below (follow the instructions in the link to the letter). Update the PSP to 3.02OE-B. Make sure you install Recovery too, otherwise you won't be able to change the kernal to 1.5.

Then update the PSP from 3.02OE-B to 3.03OE-A using the following link:

If you've updated your PSP to 3.02OE A/B, you'll have also downloaded a program called popstation. This converts PSX games to EBOOT.PBP files, which you then stick in your GAME folder on your memory card and play by accessing it through the Game menu on your PSP.

Everything you need to know is on

    https://www.pspiso.com

You will have to register to see the board, though - it is worth it, however.

With the "b" upgrade there is a application included called popstation - Quote : is a program that will convert your psx games into an eboot.pbp playable in 3.02 OE-B firmware

ok cancelled my at home order as they couldn't give me the discount. Have now ordered using code and quidco through business site and the discount shows instantly on the invoice. Might even get the delivery today!! lets see.

just chased up my order as I need to go out and didnt want to miss the delivery. Viking say that they had no history of order even though it is still there when i log in. The code is now expired for definate but she made sure that I got it as it worked when I placed my order. Delivery expected between 2 and 6 today. (got to go to dentist at 2 so hopefully it will come after this)

    good result.

In this package is the RECOVERY folder with 1.50 Eboot included.

Instal: Note: I have created the DATA.DXAR file for you. You have to do a few steps only!!!

1.Extract the files to a folder. Run the PSP.exe. Choose your PSP or an other path if you wish to copy them manually to your PSP.

2.The folders 303oeflasher and 303oeflasher% are in the folder /PSP/GAME if you have a PSP with 1.50 Firmware then go to next step
If you have a 2.71 or 3.02 OE then move the folders 303oeflasher and 303oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME150
(Your Battery must be over 75% and pluged-in)

3.Run the program. When it finishes, it will ask you to reinit the psp. When you do that, you will be
    in 3.03 OE-A.

    Changes from 3.02 OE-B to 3.03 OE-A
    - Change from firmware 3.02 to 3.03
    - Added support for compression in psx isos (look at popstation documentation for more details).
    - Added support for decrypted document.dat (psx games manual) (look at docmaker documentation for more details).
    - Fixed a bug regarding free region: a stupid bug caused it not to work at all.
Now it should work, although it has not been tested due to lack of umd's of different regions
    between the testers and me.
    - Some generic bug fixes in the code.
    - Redded the sdk.
    - Fixed some bugs that could cause the brick of korean/chinese/taiwan/singapure psp when restoring default settings.
To prevent this, the region of those psp's are faked to japanese when fake region is disabled.
For same reason, korean region is removed from fake region.
    - Added australia/new zeland and russia to the regions to be faked.
