hi
I wonder if anyone can advise me on this.
I sold a expensive jacket on ebay and the buyer says it stinks of smoke, so bad apparently that it has to be on the balcony!!!
i dont smoke:eek:
what do I do? i dont want to recieve it back if they have kept it outdoors!!
The item was sold for a ridiculously low price but im not bothered about that as was having a wardrobe clearout so just want rid of my stuff really.
The buyer also sent me a message saying just before they received it not to send the item registered so thought that a bit odd but they then sent a message about 2 hours later saying the jacket stinks beyond belief of smoke, is gross and the dry cleaners say it cant be removed:eek:
I dont know what to do, Ive responded to the dispute saying i dont feel i want the item back as it is probably now damaged.

Do you use mailing bags? They can smell of smoke.
too many comps..not enough time!0 -
Mail bags sometimes cause that sort of smell. They will in all liklihood win the dispute and have to send the item back for a refund. Also if they win the dispute you would not get your paypal fees back which you would if you refund voluntarily. So you can offer them to refund on return before you are forced to,
If its a really cheap item though you may just want to refund without getting the item back to save hassle.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Dry cleaning it WOULD remove the smell.
I think they are trying it on to get it even cheaper.
Tell them to send it back recorded and then you will refund.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Get it back & refund, you can wash it or hang it out in the fresh air yourself & resell it. The chances are they're trying it on in the hope that you say you'll refund without getting it back.0

I packaged up using bubble wrap and wrapped up using brown paper.
They have been keeping the item outside and it was stormy- Its probably in a right state now!!

I know dry cleaners can get the smell out if it existed, They probably sent her packing as it doesnt /didnt smell of smoke:p

Wow, get it back and I'll buy it :P0 -
It sold for £30:eek:
having looked at other items I know its worth a load more than that, I think maybe she didnt like the jacket although she states its lovely- personally i think the jacket is ugly but it was given to my daughter who doesn't wear that sort of thing either and the woman bought it so she must have liked the picture
My daughters like me- armani or primani, Its no different to us, we would rather save the money tbh:o
It may be a size issue- I dont understand the Prada label so stated this but after trying on jacket i said it would fit a size 10 to 12 probably as Im an 8 and it was big on me but not bigger than a twelve.
I think the womans off her head tbh- she said she had a party of friends round who all smoke to inspect the coat who now all say it reeks...i wonder why:eek::eek:***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0
